- Good game. 85/100 imo.
positives:
- visuals are nice. Level design is great
- movement feels pretty organic and good.
- Melee is pretty fun
- Puzzles are easy to get through and are more freeing than other games
downsides:
- buggy in a lot of areas (first gate / mission can be entirely skipped + can easily escape bosses by climbing teepees & log barracades)
- Enemy AI is very buggy and breaks with objects higher than a few feet up. + they don't do nearly enough damage.
- Variety of attacks from enemies & players is pretty lacking.
- Combat locks you in animation and impact isn't felt very muc
overall a very well designed and aesthetic with room for improvemen;t but engaging and fun story and gameplay.
I can jump forever. make it so it only allows you to jump once when you leave the ground. there's no real content in the game. Ik it's in development, but a guideline I give myself is to only release the first version of the game once you add at least 6 mechanics (not the basic ones like jumping, and walking) and make a test level with all of your mechanics
I feel like alot of work and effort went into this, but just a few critiques, the aiming system is kind of jank, and I feel like it would be better if the projectile flew in the direction of the cursor instead of where you're facing. also there are a LOT of duplicated objects which makes them flash a lot. otherwise it's pretty good
