Woah, that is a cool character design. Phenomenal style. As a game programmer, I can relate to having to balance ambition and workload. Detail exponentially increases how much work is needed to add new things, and I compliment your choice towards focusing on animation over larger sprites. You have a real knack for effective animation, and I can't wait to see what is next :)

I really enjoy this style. The raw coloring gives it more depth and realism. When animated, I imagine it looks gorgeous! It might clash with the level art, though, as the latter is still more cartoony, but should the styles be balanced in the future, I know the result would be worth the effort. Anyways, glad to hear you are doing alright! Looking forward to see where you take this awesome project.
I really like it! Keeping most animations suggestive instead of being blatantly lewd all the time adds weight and value to the few times when we do get to see something like this.
I don't believe it is fully limited and accurate to emulate Atari hardware, but nevertheless its not over indulging. I will keep on looking, but thanks for the consideration! :)
