Thanks for playing my short game! I'm not entirely sure but are you using WASD for moving and X/C to jump/hold breath?

If that's the case then I understand you. I suggest to use arrow keys with your right hand to move and X/C to jump/hold breath.

But thanks for playing it! This version of the game was made in less than 3 days for the Lv.99 Game Jam 2023 and the uploaded version of the game is not up to date. I'm still continuing the development of the game so future updates are possible. :)

Thankyou so much!

I'm glad you enjoyed playing the game we made! We're actually planning to continue the development of the game until it's somewhat a "finished" and fully polished short game. So I hope you can try the game again when the update is ready!

We appreciate you!

Thanks!

Glad you liked the visuals! Sure, I'm open to working with others for Jams. If my schedule is free then there won't be any problem!

I appreciate it, Thankyou!

Hi!

Thanks for playing the game! Really appreciate it.

I'm happy that you found the gameplay and visuals to be cool! That made my day.

"honestly it makes me sad that there is no sound" - Sorry about that, I wasn't able to implement the SFX and music for this build because of time. But I am going to continue the development of this project as I can see it's potential to be a full game.

"I feel like combat would be even better if the charging was faster." Thank you for sharing this! Yes I agree with you actually. The current build that you played only have the "basic concept" of the combat but has not been playtested and optimized yet. I'll take all of your opinions as valid points that I'll definitely consider testing in implementation.

Again, Thank you so much! I hope you can look out for the game's future updates!

Thankyou so much for playing the game and your kind words! We are actually in the process of making the game even more polished. We may also add some levels. I hope you can try the game again after the update!

We appreciate you!

First, thanks for playing!

"It really shows how you good you worked together as a team, every aspect of your game feels polished and well done :) Your game was an instant feedback with my family :)"

-Yes, I agree! We enjoyed the whole Jam. Working with mayrinart and musicka is a total firee!

"I'm not sure if I can save at the save points a second time. On my way back from one of the items, I jumped into a pit, in the end, I did get the item, but I was not sure if I had do it again. " - Thanks for letting us know that you noticed this! no one else but you have reported this! But rest assured as this is actually in the list of bugs to be fixed in the next update! You reporting this just verified that this should indeed be changed/fixed.

"When you jump, sometimes the next platform is not visible, that makes it harder. Maybe you can adjust screensize or layout." - this is actually intended. As the game seems to be too easy, I tried making levels that will make you feel "ohh I thought I calculated that correctly!, Okay let me try again" , how ever, thinking about it now, You have a good point as it can feel more like the game cheated on you instead of the game just being harder. - I'll add this to the bug fixes for the next update!

Again, we truly appreciate you! Thanks!

Thank you for playing the game!

Thanks to Mayrinart for the art.

I'm happy to know that you eventually enjoyed the controls and had fun playing our game!

Thank you so much for playing!

We're happy to know that you liked  the game!

Hi there!

Thanks for playing my game!

Yes! I'll try and make some adjustments to the combat for the next update.

"And when you eventually add audio I think it's going to really elevate the game overall." - This is one thing that I wish I could've been able to implement. Hope you can try the game again after the update to hear 'em!

"Nobody has mentioned how good the jump feels. It really stands out and makes traversal feel more meaningful and interesting. The wall jumping is really well implemented as well." - Thankyou!! I actually used more than half of my jamdev time in making the player controls and feel as decent as possible. So you're basically saying that I did not waste my time for that by stating those words!

How I wish I could've gave you all a better experience.

But yeah! that's coming on the next update!

Thank you so much!!

Thanks for playing the game!

Glad you liked the visuals and controls!

"Destroying things I was expecting a bit more flash"- Yes, I agree. The vfx for hitting enemies was not implemented in the build. I'll make sure to include it in the next update!

" Also for me it feels like matching the number should be enough to destroy the target. " - That's a good point! I'll add this to some possible adjustments for the game and test it out.

"Game stopped for me after going to next room after the cutscene." -Sorry about that. I'll make sure to playtest the next update more to avoid such bugs. Thank you for letting me know about it!

Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate it!

Thank you so much!

I appreciate that you still can say such good things even though the game is not fully polished as intended.

I really enjoyed this jam and you guys(other participants in the discord) are a big part of "why".

Thanks!!

Hey!

Thank you for playing the game!

Oh, I think I wasn't able to disable "W" and "D" for controls. haha!

It was set to horizontal input, that's why "W" and "D" work. But It's actually supposed to be played with the arrow keys and jumping and attacking with "X" and "C"! I hope you can try again!

The game is actually the intended state to be passed to the jam. I had some issues with my work that made it impossible for me to work on the game for the whole last day. So I thank you for trying to play it still!

I will definitely update the game after the jam! I hope you can check it out again.

Thank you!!

Hi!

Thank you for playing my game!

"Controls are really weird." - True, I planned to change this before passing the final build. I am about to let player modify the controls to their liking but I was not able to do so. But thanks for confirming that the controls are actually weird! haha

"Like the art" Thank you!! I really appreciate it.

"honestly I feel like the numbers are too high in this game to slash through" Thank you for letting me know this! I believe in play-testing and I definitely lacked that! Will definitely fix this somehow for the next update!

I'm truly sorry that you have to play an unfinished/unpolished game. I had some problem with time(cause of fulltime work) for the whole last day of dev, which should be focused on playtesting, music, sfx, other vfx and other stuff.

Yes! I'll continue developing the game. I'll try and update the game to a state that you can "enjoy" it!

Thanks!!

Hey there!

Thank you so much for playing the game!

I'm happy the you liked look and feel of the game!

"However breathing takes way to long" -I thought this would really be a problem and would really love to change the speed of it. Thank you for letting me know that this is indeed the case.

"the control layout is very weird" -I thought some would definitely think of the controls like this. I was actually make it that users can modify the controls at the start of the game(the tutorial phase) to avoid this. Will definitely update the game after the jam!

"I also got stuck in the transition to another room 3 times." -Thank you for letting me know that this issue exists! I'll look into this and try to fix this in the upcoming updates.

Thank you for your feedback!

I really appreciate that you tried to play the game hehe. This is actually not finished and not polished completely that is why there are some bugs, no sound it included, and the control layout is not "normal" and cant be modified. haha

I'll continue the development of the game and update it as an actual finished/polished game!(demo?)

Thanks!

Thankyou for playing the game! I really appreciate your feedback and I'm happy to know that you liked it visually and also how the platforming works!

My critique of the game:

  • The lack of any audio makes the game feels disconnected and unresponsive.

-True! I was not able to actually polish the game(include music and sfx). that's why. I was able to create them but I was not able to use the whole last day(issue: full time job haha) to implement them in the build. I am still going to upload an updated version with music and sound implemented.

  • I couldn't finish the game as I that there is a broken area in rotation (since area is randomized).

-I see. I'll try and fix this. Thank you for letting me know that such issue exists!

  • The 'combat' is too slow and feel sluggish, just not enjoyable. Often find myself avoid the enemies instead of fighting them.

-Thank you! I actually lacked on play-testing the game with other players. So I think, you saying this is actually helpful for the game! I'll try and make some changes to make you kill 'em all! instead of avoiding the enemies.

  • Not really feeling it with the connection of the game to the theme.

-As I had a problem with time for the last 2 days of jam dev, the story was not included as well. I wrote it but still not in-game. This was actually one of the biggest things that I wish I was able to include.

I'll definitely update the game until you can fully "enjoy" it!

All in all, Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
