How does your game fit the theme?
In a world where strength is defined by the numbers tattooed on one's body. You were born with a broken energy vessel which disabled you from storing no more than 1 energy in your body. You developed "focus breathing"(which is the main thing that makes the game fit the theme) that enabled you to gain energy temporarily before unleashing a powerful slash.

This game is very good. The gameplay, the narrative everything is super good. On another note, I found 2 bugs: if i use fullscreen on the game, the menu doesn't work. And if i hold the "Breath?" button and jump on top of an enemy, it doesn't do damage to the player. And it doesn't move until you get off.
Incredible visuals, would you be interested in collaborating with me in a future game jam? My games always lack visually I have to admit.
Thanks!
Glad you liked the visuals! Sure, I'm open to working with others for Jams. If my schedule is free then there won't be any problem!
I appreciate it, Thankyou!
The gameplay and visuals are extremely cool, honestly it makes me sad that there is no sound. Also, I feel like combat would be even better if the charging was faster.
Still, very impressive for a game jam, congrats!
Hi!
Thanks for playing the game! Really appreciate it.
I'm happy that you found the gameplay and visuals to be cool! That made my day.
"honestly it makes me sad that there is no sound" - Sorry about that, I wasn't able to implement the SFX and music for this build because of time. But I am going to continue the development of this project as I can see it's potential to be a full game.
"I feel like combat would be even better if the charging was faster." Thank you for sharing this! Yes I agree with you actually. The current build that you played only have the "basic concept" of the combat but has not been playtested and optimized yet. I'll take all of your opinions as valid points that I'll definitely consider testing in implementation.
Again, Thank you so much! I hope you can look out for the game's future updates!
Would love to play an updated version :)
After reading the other comments, I agree with what others said about the combat feeling slow, which you have addressed. And when you eventually add audio I think it's going to really elevate the game overall.
Nobody has mentioned how good the jump feels. It really stands out and makes traversal feel more meaningful and interesting. The wall jumping is really well implemented as well.
Congrats on finishing your game and good luck :)
Hi there!
Thanks for playing my game!
Yes! I'll try and make some adjustments to the combat for the next update.
"And when you eventually add audio I think it's going to really elevate the game overall." - This is one thing that I wish I could've been able to implement. Hope you can try the game again after the update to hear 'em!
"Nobody has mentioned how good the jump feels. It really stands out and makes traversal feel more meaningful and interesting. The wall jumping is really well implemented as well." - Thankyou!! I actually used more than half of my jamdev time in making the player controls and feel as decent as possible. So you're basically saying that I did not waste my time for that by stating those words!
How I wish I could've gave you all a better experience.
But yeah! that's coming on the next update!
Thank you so much!!
Stunning neon glow world! Absolutely genious way to render models in the game! The character feels really good to move and jump around. Destroying things I was expecting a bit more flash. Also for me it feels like matching the number should be enough to destroy the target. Game stopped for me after going to next room after the cutscene. Anyways really impressive jam game! Well done!
Thanks for playing the game!
Glad you liked the visuals and controls!
"Destroying things I was expecting a bit more flash"- Yes, I agree. The vfx for hitting enemies was not implemented in the build. I'll make sure to include it in the next update!
" Also for me it feels like matching the number should be enough to destroy the target. " - That's a good point! I'll add this to some possible adjustments for the game and test it out.
"Game stopped for me after going to next room after the cutscene." -Sorry about that. I'll make sure to playtest the next update more to avoid such bugs. Thank you for letting me know about it!
Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate it!
Good visuals and platforming
Thank you so much!
I appreciate that you still can say such good things even though the game is not fully polished as intended.
I really enjoyed this jam and you guys(other participants in the discord) are a big part of "why".
Thanks!!
Visually the game looks great and the platforming is great!
My critique of the game:
Overall, I really enjoyed the platforming in this game.
Thankyou for playing the game! I really appreciate your feedback and I'm happy to know that you liked it visually and also how the platforming works!
My critique of the game:
-True! I was not able to actually polish the game(include music and sfx). that's why. I was able to create them but I was not able to use the whole last day(issue: full time job haha) to implement them in the build. I am still going to upload an updated version with music and sound implemented.
-I see. I'll try and fix this. Thank you for letting me know that such issue exists!
-Thank you! I actually lacked on play-testing the game with other players. So I think, you saying this is actually helpful for the game! I'll try and make some changes to make you kill 'em all! instead of avoiding the enemies.
-As I had a problem with time for the last 2 days of jam dev, the story was not included as well. I wrote it but still not in-game. This was actually one of the biggest things that I wish I was able to include.
I'll definitely update the game until you can fully "enjoy" it!
All in all, Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Can't wait to see the updated version!
Looks and feels very good. However breathing takes way to long and the control layout is very weird.
I also got stuck in the transition to another room 3 times, after which I sadly stopped playing.
Hey there!
Thank you so much for playing the game!
I'm happy the you liked look and feel of the game!
"However breathing takes way to long" -I thought this would really be a problem and would really love to change the speed of it. Thank you for letting me know that this is indeed the case.
"the control layout is very weird" -I thought some would definitely think of the controls like this. I was actually make it that users can modify the controls at the start of the game(the tutorial phase) to avoid this. Will definitely update the game after the jam!
"I also got stuck in the transition to another room 3 times." -Thank you for letting me know that this issue exists! I'll look into this and try to fix this in the upcoming updates.
Thank you for your feedback!
I really appreciate that you tried to play the game hehe. This is actually not finished and not polished completely that is why there are some bugs, no sound it included, and the control layout is not "normal" and cant be modified. haha
I'll continue the development of the game and update it as an actual finished/polished game!(demo?)
Thanks!
Controls are really weird. Like the art but honestly I feel like the numbers are too high in this game to slash through.
Hi!
Thank you for playing my game!
"Controls are really weird." - True, I planned to change this before passing the final build. I am about to let player modify the controls to their liking but I was not able to do so. But thanks for confirming that the controls are actually weird! haha
"Like the art" Thank you!! I really appreciate it.
"honestly I feel like the numbers are too high in this game to slash through" Thank you for letting me know this! I believe in play-testing and I definitely lacked that! Will definitely fix this somehow for the next update!
I'm truly sorry that you have to play an unfinished/unpolished game. I had some problem with time(cause of fulltime work) for the whole last day of dev, which should be focused on playtesting, music, sfx, other vfx and other stuff.
Yes! I'll continue developing the game. I'll try and update the game to a state that you can "enjoy" it!
Thanks!!
I found the idea cool, but the controls didn't help much. Moving the character with "A" and "D", jumping and attacking with "X" and "C" was quite uncomfortable.
Hey!
Thank you for playing the game!
Oh, I think I wasn't able to disable "W" and "D" for controls. haha!
It was set to horizontal input, that's why "W" and "D" work. But It's actually supposed to be played with the arrow keys and jumping and attacking with "X" and "C"! I hope you can try again!
The game is actually the intended state to be passed to the jam. I had some issues with my work that made it impossible for me to work on the game for the whole last day. So I thank you for trying to play it still!
I will definitely update the game after the jam! I hope you can check it out again.
Thank you!!
