Yeah, they might not be, and I hope that my response didn't sound harsh or anything, but that's a sentiment/critique I've seen a lot online and really can't tell their intent with the text available. And thank you, there's more content on its way soon :)

I only learned of this webtoon a few weeks ago from an anonymous fan suggesting it to me (I honestly don't read webtoons, there's just other things that draw my attention more). So, I'm not sure if this is meant as an accusation that this is stealing a concept from that story or if it's merely an observation, but I feel the need to point out either way that stories take inspiration from each other all the time (to that point, I am sure that webtoon, like my story, is inspired by Faustian pacts but that doesn't mean we're both stealing from Dr. Faustus). Even if I had read this webtoon and decided to write this (which is not the case) then cool. Who cares? There's a lot of other stories that did inspire this one, and I'd be happy to talk about that if you (or anyone else) is curious. :)
Zorlok is the MC and the one who's perspective the rest of the story will be told from, though there may be sections in the future (like the prologue) that allow the player to see Tommy's perspective. Those would most likely be flashbacks, specials, or Zorlok looking through Tommy's eyes (via their bond).
It's not abandoned, I just don't get much time to work on it between my jobs and personal life (for reference, this release was worked on largely during quarantine and when I was a student, so I had far more free time and far fewer options of what to do with it, I ended up hyperfixating on writing for months). Some people's behavior/reactions have left me feeling uncomfortable, frustrated, and/or drained, so I don't really post or talk about it much anymore. But, this is still being worked on regularly. I'm excited to share what I've been working on with you all soon (hopefully, things can be unpredictable this time of year but I'm feeling confident, tentatively). Thank you for your interest (and hopefully your understanding), it really does mean a lot to me.
So, the "music" that plays in the beginning of that scene is actually "room sound". If you're playing at a lower volume (especially without headphones) you might not hear anything or if you're playing in a room with a similar ambient sound you might not notice it. The relative quiet/silence of that scene is supposed to create an eerie stillness that's disrupted by what happens next. The room sound also changes depending on what happens in the scene directly before.

If Tommy's meeting with Harlow goes poorly then it's louder and filled with spookier sounds. If it goes well or neutrally, it's really subtle, almost white noise, that just buzzes/hums in the background. This is how the two different tracks are described in the game's audio descriptions (which can be turned on or off at any time in the settings menu):
Spooky Room Sound: "The music from the last scene fades out, replaced by the eerie sound of a dank, cold room with wind whipping through it. Shutters rattle against windows. Something metallic creaks and wobbles. A strange, wet sound pops up now and then, almost like a creature swallowing. The audio feels disturbing, unnerving, and alarming."
Neutral Room Sound: "The music from the last scene fades out, replaced by the eerie sound of silence—the faint, buzzing, white noise of an empty room. Occasionally, some water drips or a random, unidentifiable clicking noise can be heard, but—in stark contrast to the rest of the game—this scene is unsettlingly quiet."
Thank you and sorry for the lack of response. I go into some detail here but I've been off media for the past week and a half completing finals and midterms for several of my summer courses. Sorry that I'm just getting to answering this now. This project isn't abandoned, I just haven't had as much time as I'd like to work on it so the next chapter has been delayed.
Hi! Thank you and yes, that will change. The original demon had their own personality but Zorlok's personality is up to the player. Once you begin playing as Z in chapter 1 you will be able to choose how your character behaves and acts (but the demon is essentially a different character so the player can't dictate how they behave in the prologue).
