The original table had Good, Bad, and Weird (like the movie!) but there isn't much that's really BAD just kind of confusing and funny and possibly charming.
I feel like there are so many component parts to itch as a platform that finding fun interactions is going to become a game unto itself. You could set up a pseudo patreon/ko-fi by gating certain files behind certain price points I think!
I thought about discussing the battery life of comms equipment but that seemed a bit ticky-tacky.
Something fun might be that the less you bother your staff the more actual work they can do, granting a bonus during downtime? But then you're kind of punished for doing the fun worldbuilding thing, so it seemed better to make it free!
I'm able to create blog posts without associating them with a particular project, which is great for theory posts and loose ideas that aren't really a game unto themselves. After creating a Hello World post to test this out everything went great, except the only way I can find my post is through my own developer backend.
It's pretty easy to find a collection of devlog posts associated with a specific project, but I can't seem to find a page (much less create an RSS feed) of posts that I don't associate with a specific project. Where do they go?
Thanks!
There will be a 12th neighborhood guide, yes! It's an industrial area, punk/art space, and park. Unfortunately Hycadia needed to go on the backburner while we focus on completing other projects for a while, so the release date is TBD.
We do plan to release the collection as a full city guide, with one updated map encompassing all 12 neighborhoods and additional information about Hycadia. If you'd like to know when that work picks up again you can join our mailing list for updates.
Thanks so much! We talk about the planned fulfillment timeline on our Kickstarter page (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gemroomgames/9-lives-to-valhalla). We've got a good chunk of the book laid out on our Sneak Peek too! You can find that here https://gemroomgames.itch.io/9-lives-to-valhalla-sneak-peek.
We're pleased to announce that the third and final round of DUKK BÖRG is complete, and is available at https://gemroomgames.itch.io/dukkborg!
DUKK BÖRG is a grindhouse fantasy tabletop game about duck-human hybrids banding together in pursuit of death or treasure before the world ends. Inspired by the beloved Saturday morning cartoon DuckTales, DUKK BÖRG introduces characters, places, and treasures found long after the McDuck clan’s adventures have finished, the moon has exploded, and the sun has turned red in its dying days.
Designed to be used with the award-winning tabletop rpg MÖRK BORG (2020, Stockholm Kartell), DUKK BÖRG takes the beauty and brutality of MÖRK BORG and uses them to emphasize what we all loved about DuckTales: unlikely heroes, high stakes adventure, found family, and the pursuit of outrageous wealth that can all be found amongst the wreckage of racecars, lasers, and aeroplanes. The MÖRK BORG compatibility of DUKK BÖRG ensures that the characters, settings, and other elements of DUKK BÖRG may be played as a complete setting, or alongside those of MÖRK BORG for delightful, if horrifying, juxtaposition.
In DUKK BÖRG you are the treasure hunters and gizmo speakers that seek to be the richest ducks of a dying world. You will form your own clan of found family, hoping that together you’re smarter than the smarties and tougher than the toughies. You will face off against witches and crime syndicates, seek out ancient treasures, explore the doomed city of DUKK BÖRG and the surrounding Calisotan environs, and watch helplessly as apocalyptic psalms based on the classic theme song tick down to doom. Life is truly like a hurricane here in… DUKK BÖRG!
