A really neat twist on Brick Breaker!! The obvious standout is the art direction; I love the UI, the bright colors, and the overall warm and lovely vibe of the art. It really and truly reminds me of older flash games on the internet. Adding the survival aspect to the gameplay makes it intriguing and engaging, forcing the player to split their focus between breaking bricks and maintaining Ball’s size and status.

While I did enjoy the game, the concept behind it is a tad simple for the theme. But simple is not necessarily a bad thing! In addition to this, there were several bugs that were a little too easy to come across, such as Ball breaking Paddle even after I managed to decrease Ball’s size, and Ball growing even larger than its Berserk mode (without being in Berserk) after I had to spam in order to get it out of a tough spot.

Overall, a pleasant experience. The fact that this was made by two people yet looks and plays nicely truly baffles me!

I enjoyed this game a lot! It’s such a unique interpretation of the theme. I’m very into games where details matter a lot to the gameplay, and it reminds a bit of Papers, Please! It’s also full of personality; it was really cool to see how much work was put into the worldbuilding for the different planets and alien races. The art is beautiful as well! The muted backgrounds plus colorful characters jive togther fantastically.

It took a few tries to fully understand the game entirely, but once I did, I was locked in, and it really is fulfilling to actually get it right (and not have clients explode). I know that the text being slow is all a part of the game, and allows the player to switch between screens to multitask taking in all the information, but I think the playing experience would benefit from the text being just a bit faster. Likewise, a tutorial before the actual game would be a nice touch as well!

But overall, a wonderful experience. This is the first game I’m rating after the jam ended, so thank you for letting me kick it off with a super cool one! :D

As the description and tutorials state, you’re supposed to block lethal and trick attacks (aka the attacks that take longer to wind-up for).

i can tell enough hoe much i enjoy this game!!! i love the graphics, i love how it feels to play, i love the sounds effects. i can tell there’s some inspiration from early 2000’s japanese ps1 games. very, very neat game.

it’s admittedly a bit grind-y, as you have to constantly roll the die in order to gain time and that sort of made it hard to progress, which was especially difficult in the beginning where i was trying to read the tutorial and learn the controls. it’s a bit fast and could use a bit of balancing.

nevertheless, stellar game. with some fine-tuning, i would 100% buy and play a full version of this.

great look, great feel, great interpretation of the theme! genuinely fun and interesting game to just keep trying at. bit of criticism i have is the cursor being split is a little confusing and the swimming camera effect hurts the eyes and head after a bit of playing. other than that, great work!!

endlessly fun!! i really like this take on the theme, very creative! a bit of criticism i have on the mechanics would be the limits that the dice face? like it’s a bit easy for the dice to be pushed against the boundaries of the stage. i also wish the movement controls were wasd instead of the arrow keys as it’s a bit awkward to control.

other than that, with some polish and upgraded graphics from the unity defaults, i can see this game as its own thing!

great work :D

this is a really neat interpretation of the theme! it’s super fun to play, very polished and is overall solid. great job!

this is very fun to play, especially as you equip more dice and can use both mouse buttons. great visuals too, the neon look fits the concept very well. great job!!
