Congrats on the release, Asephy! I'll be sure to play it and give you any bug reports I find.

That's sad! I hope you return to Canada soon!

Looking forward to it Hope all my feedback helped!

The game has been great so far, Asephy! Take a break from all the work you did!

I had a lot of fun with this game, here's everything I caught so far in this version, and some thoughts.

Bugs Found:

Exploring Event - Man giving 100 Bucks doesn't actually increase currency you have. I was at 300 and remained at 300.

Exploring Event - Good samariton giving 5 dollars doesn't give 5 dollars despite money increase pop-up indicating its occurance.

Explorign Event - Finding a quarter doesn't increase your money, despite pop-up indication.

Exploring Event - Woman giving out balloons increases food at home bar.

Exploring Event - Pet dog event decreases food at home by 10 but doesn't actually affect the bar?

Exploring Event - Woman offering you food doesn't increase food at home, despite pop-up indication informing player it increased by 10.

Exploring Event - Woman chiding you from walking on grass as a large 'TEST' pop-up appear on the corner of the screen for a moment. No actual effect on Stress.

When waking up on Spring Saturday 6th, the 'Stress' bar was misaligned from the others to be larger. It fixed itself

after I went to get the coffee though.

There still isn't any tutorial prompt or hint saying that Players can keep a single burger patty on reserve. Maybe make Elis mention it to the player during the opening tutorial?

During the summer event, you can accidentally click a bit to quickly and miss and the panning shot of the protagonist in his swimsuit.

Game Notes:

The game's difficult can jump significantly at random days, because you can earn significantly less if you have a day where most of your customers want large orders, such as the double burger/double cheeseburger ones. There doesn't seem to be any sort of pay-off for larger orders after the other, as the combo streak increases the same rate as just a bunch of smaller orders.

For example, I had a day where it was mostly just Soda and Fries orders, I earned around $180 dollars because it allows the Player to earn high combo streaks easily, which significantly increases tips earned. The next day, it was a lot of 'double' orders, I only earned 100$ because the time it takes it much longer results in much lower combos, which is a 55% income decrease! (Of course, I was doing a new game, so only '2' speed and '2' endurance, but just saying this all for balance sake.)

A lot of players will want higher charisma to unlock sexual scenes in future builds, so they will neglect other stats, such as 'Strength' and 'Endurance'. Though the gameplay loop does become easier with those stats.

Now it's not a problem for me, even though I play on touchpad, I've learned a lot of tricks to get through orders. And honestly you can easily make enough money for rent and food per week, I've just made these game notes in case you want to increase game difficult, like increased rent, or inflating coffee/grocery prices. Otherwise, it's just fine as is.

Also, OMG, B&T is so giant. Why is it 4 patties and 3 veggies each!? At least make it 3 patties and 2 veggies each!

Elis Route:

All the animations were decent enough, though I feel that the sixty-nine could use a bit of touch up. The BJ was fine. The ending sex was fine though could use some more frames when it speeds up. I'm just comparing these to your other projects' animations.

I think Elis needs a 25% Affection Event, unless that brief easter egg of bumping into him counts as that, but I feel like there really should be a more dedicated event here to help flesh out his character a bit more before we confess. I would like a 'every 20% there is event', but I feel that would add a lot more work for you, so every '25%' will have to do.

Great, keep up the good work, Asephy! I'll play it when I get the time!

You can easily solve this issue with a UI change to the map, like a tiny chibi head of the character above the location names, a clear "Hey, there's a possible event with this character here!" Just another QoL change, seems I messed up Elis route myself cause I didn't know this.

Was still playing on Update 13, haven't gotten to 14, but looks like you didn't catch the few issues I found. I want to first say that the game is fun, it's burger game loop, but I can tell it still needs more polish, especially in concerns with the new animations you've made. Comparing the handjob animation to the blowjob animation is incredibly clear that the latter needs a retouch, it's animation is a little choppy and art looks a bit more like a draft rather than a final. I just noticed it more often because you see it a lot, especially after you get more Strength stat.

That's just the minor complaint on that.

As for actual 'issues', Ellis's post note telling you about cheese? It repeats itself on Fall, Tuesday 2. I was confused, but few days later noticed I had vegetable burgers apparently. The post-it note was incorrect. Even with the post-it note, it was a bit of a surprise I got new menu options, I recommend also putting a email in the computer telling us about that. Not sure if it repeats on Thick Burger, haven't unlocked it yet.

I'm playing on touch-pad only, so I'm having to take it slower. Endurance Stat is everything on here. It's playable on touch-pad, I've learned a few in-game tricks to saving time. I'm only at Fall Tuesday 9 atm.

About computer, there is no indication that there is a new email until you actually go into the computer. Perhaps putting a minor exclamation mark above the computer (in the room, not in the screen) can tell players there's new info? Not that much is actually helpful, but that suggestion I made earlier about forewarning the player about new menu options in the following week? That would be a nice QoL addition.

There's barely any point in Exploring after Arcade, the events don't do anything as far as I'm aware. Even if the event seems nice, like the puppy, it doesn't seem to reduce stress?

The gift system is very basic, there doesn't seem to be any negative in giving the wrong gift. It's very trial and error until you get the right one. Not that money is a problem eventually, managing energy drain is the primary challenge. Stress is easy to solve, in fact, I would say 'too easy', coffee is OP.

I recommend nerfing coffee, it's cheap, really, really cheap, $2.50 for +1 Speed, +Energy, and -- Stress is godly. But I don't recommend nerfing it straight-away, how about having the price of coffee increase every few weeks? Inflation or whatever.

No female customers? Me sad.

You can accidentally add cheese, I did this quite a few times, it's crazy since it's a one-click when everything else is click & drag, and it's right next to the prep-burger slot. Why not have it be click & drag as well, then have all ingredients have a 'right-click to instant put on'? Though that might need a bit of balancing, as it'll make things really fast... Mmh, you could lock the "right-click to instant put on" behind the Speed stat. Say requires "4" Speed to unlock "Instant Click".

All that said, I'm enjoying this game, and my rating for it still stands for what I said in the demo. Oh, and thanks for adding that heads up on the rape scene at the start!

Look forward to playing! I'll be sure provide feedback when I can!

Wohoo! Look forward to Christmas (or Birthday, mine's in Jan) present!

:D

The warning and optional skip for it is really all that is needed! Not that I myself didn't find it enjoyable, but I'm a bit of a writer myself, so I understood the context setting it was establishing.

According to how Itco works, if we purchase the Supporter's build for 15 dollars, that should also grant us access to the full game once you release it, unless you up the price more at least.

10 to 15 USD seems reasonable. I mean, the demo alone would be a satisfying $1.99 mobile purchase price, haha, it's that fun.

Looking forward to it if you decide to release a supporter's build. I'm sure if you do release it you'll get a lot of feedback to finetune the final product.

Very nice, I like it!

Arador has good ideas to add to the benefits of the stats, making the player think more carefully to which attribute they wish to 'level up' more instead of focusing on just one or two that are more powerful than another.

You can also do secret combo to leveling, for example a type of basic arithmetic where SPD + CHR attribute can 'delay' the timer before a shift ends.  (I always felt like the current shift in the demo was way too short.)

And STR + END could affect your ability to handle nightly hour stuff, so that they don't affect your body in the daylight shifts. (I imagine the protagonist having a 'rough night' could affect their daylight ability.)

STR + CHR could affect the ability to 'shoo' away unwanted customers.

SPD + END affect the rare Luck stat to 'instantly' finish one of the prep-work tasks, such as instantly finishing cleaning the lettuce or cutting the tomatoes.

Wow, looking forward to even more! This game greatly reminds me of 'burger tycoon' flash game, except instead of managing a fast food corperation, you're the (unlucky) hire. Honestly, the gameplay is vastly different from each other, but it has that kind of 'feel' to it in its typical gameplay loop (at least, until you get the nsfw stuff during combos.

If we complete the game, will there be an 'infinite days' mode? Kinda a reward for playing the story (besides just winning ofc). The gameplay loop on the demo was fun enough that such a mode could be considered.

Love the news update, but don't pressure yourself. If you can't handle weekly, try bi-weekly instead, likely more managable.

Angel looks even cuter! I have great hope for this game!

Checking up on you, as it's been 3 months since your haitus. I've checked your twitter at a weekly basis, which I do appreciate the few arts here and there. But hoping you can explore and develop this game again soon!

Riddles are cap-sensitive.

Damn, I was eagerly looking forward to an update for this game, the fast food restaurant erotic server is just a interesting concept and fun to play. But I understand burnout, it's a real slog and stress maker. Take a vacation, friend.

Review: A nice, simplistic dungeon crawler that offers about 20-30 minutes of gameplay featuring little more than half a dozen erotic animations upon victory. Combat is simple, involving a moving bar with a line that goes back and forth and requiring a input spacebar. The closer to the middle you manage to get, the more damage you do and less damage you take.

The dungeon 'floors' are small, decorated in a black and white aesthetic that's easy for the eyes, but featuring color for select enemy appearances. You can get through each Floor in about 2-4 minutes, even if you fully explore them.

The game is generous with gold for the shop, I highly recommend purchasing Fire Scrolls for the final boss, and stocking on potions. The 'heal' purchase is also incredibly handy, as it fully heals the protagonist on purchase, cheap to buy, only 5 gold.

After finishing the game, you are able to see all erotic animations with a gallery on the main menu.

For it's asking price of only $3 USD, it's cheap and worth its dollar for a quick game like this.

5/5 Rating.

Yeah, it's fun. I replayed a few more times since two days ago, still fun, only wish I could play more than the 8 days, haha, but that's a demo for you. With a lot of practice, and use of the pause menu to move my mouse position without the timer going down (That's a little exploit there, but it's helpful for a touchpad user like me. Especially when sometimes the touchpad will 'click' multiple times without warning.) I started to see the 'Special Service' more often.

Might I suggest that 'Special Service' can give tips? Randomized tips.

I also suggest female customers as well, we can't leave our cultured women out of the femboy fun! The Special Service could be oral, or maybe a bit of dom play by the customer?

Gameplay-wise, I recommend increasing the walk speed of the protagonist. He's a bit slow. I could also suggest use of the [Spacebar] key when near interactive objects or persons to 'interact', instead of just mouse exclusive (which isn't bad, but I imagine many players use touchpads for laptops as well). In fact, the entire game is mouse exclusive at the moment. But I imagine adding things like WASD keys for movements and the [SpaceBar] suggestion would be a bit more difficult to implement than sometime more simple like walk speed increase.

Might I recommend releasing Femboy Burgers on both Itchio & Steam? The latter will certainly help in this gem's exposure. Steam does allow Adult Games now, Lord knows the increase in Adult VNs and RPGMakers in there now, a game like this would do very well with only competition like that.

(1 edit)

Whoa! I did not know how much I needed a Burger Joint game like this until now. And cutezies characters with both chibi and non-chibi art to boot? Amazing! I would totally purchase the game for more than just $5. I was getting into the gameplay loop real quick, it was fun to play, even for a NSFW game! Which is a rarity to find one that's not just a VN or RPGmaker.

This game, at full release, I can easily see being 10-15 USD at price. To suggest it'll be only $5 is undercutting the sheer work and artistic pleasure.

Though, admittedly, the animated portion of the adult content was rough (Edit: The last one with Eris). The still images were top-notch though.

For the gameplay loop, might I suggest some ease of access changes? I played this all on a touchpad, it was a bit hard to click and drag (soda-only orders were the best cause of that, allowed me to get enough perfects to see 'service'  once or twice per replay.), so a touch-pad mode would be nice. That's just me though.

As for an actual change in the game, I refer to the tutorial. I played the entire game not knowing you could place cooked burgers in reserve, until I returned and saw the screenshot. In the tutorial, you should provide information about storing the cooked burgers, and inform the player that fries can be cooked and lifted ahead of time, same for buns.

I imagine you can upgrade things in the future, like buying a double-toaster, cooking more burgers than 1, expanding the frying rack, etc.

But of course, I don't know if there's secretly a 'night work' route as well.
All in all, I enjoyed the game.
