The team is literally 3 people. Check the credits in game. It shows only 1 programmer and 2 visual artists/designers.

If they don't go back and fix the first game, they won't learn from their coding mistakes. Then the new game will still be bad. They have to go back into the current games software to tear it apart and rebuild it from the ground up to understand what went wrong.

So basically... Emotes? :D

The Among Us 2 idea was scrapped. The development team decided to just add more to the first game and keep it going. So you don't have to worry about transferring between games because there no longer is or will be a second one.

I think the easiest and quickest fix is to just have numbers on their body or in their visor which corresponds to which player they are. Maybe make it something like the host is 1, and the next player that joins is 2, and etc. Or players could choose a number like colors. It would also show up during the meeting phase. Just another option...

The open source for games usually only gets released once it has been succeeded by a sequel or enough time has passed to where it has a small player base due to lack of interest, so I doubt it. They were gonna release it when Among Us 2 came out due to all the bad coding, so others could mod it or host their own servers when it shut down. Now that is no longer needed.

The Among Us 2 Post stated that they planned to make games capable of 3 imposters by increasing the max amount of players to either 12 or 15. Now that it is canceled in favor of improving this game, it should be added later because they said up above "All of the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will instead go into Among Us 1."
