Hermaphrodites aren't really comparable to futanaris and femboys. Sure they are all often fetishized in creepy ways, but hermaphrodites are a myth, where futanaris are trans women and femboys are just feminine boys of any sex. Hermaphrodite is also often misused derogatively towards intersex people, who's genitals aren't comparable to that myth.

All of this to say, this is a realistic game, not really the place to play with mythological fetishes, which I think is why you got downvoted so much. Plus CoT handles transidentity and gender expression so well, and it feels misplaced to used them as a comparable argument in favor of a hermaphrodite fetish. Our identities are already fetishized enough, and often portrayed in a surnatural way (like AFAB futanaris who just suddenly grow a dick one day).

To each their own kink of course, you are allowed to have a thing for hermaphrodite characters. Just please stay mindful to separate fantasy and reality at the right times, especially when it comes to comparing gender identities to it.

Hope that helps, have a nice day !

Hi, just wondering, is it possible to get into two relationships ? Especially if only one of them have the open partner trait ? I really can't choose between the best friend and another person, but I don't want to take the risk to break their heart.

I was looking for unique management games and this one became one of my favorite ! It's simple yet fascinating, I've been playing at my own pace for 2 hours now !

I'm on the browser version for now, and I just wanted to ask if it was normal that I can't move the birds ? I wanted to make some space for more nests, so I waited for the merchant to come and I clicked the "move for 50 currencies" button. But my cursor highlights the tiles on the wall and not the nests, and clicking on them does nothing. Do I have to wait for the birds to be in them first or is this a bug ?

Omg I love your idea ! I really hope the devs are still planning to update the game at some point , it's been a year since the last one. I think they will still do at least one to change the clowns a bit, since they had a talk with the og artist who they stole the designs from.

But I really really hope that your mothman idea will inspire them, I would love to see it in game !

Still one of my favorite game on itch.io, I sometimes come back playing it again when I need to keep my mind busy for a while in a calming way.

The bugs I used to have are gone since the last update, and the zooming of the label is really useful ! I just want to signal a new bug I've been encountering when I keep packages for the next day.

The first time I kept one to be shipped the following day, the package turned into a 75 cents postage that was hidden under the balance.

The second time, the two packages were invisible until I toggle the cargo menu, then they appeared and stayed there normally.

The third time, the same thing happened, except that only one of the two packages reappared. I checked under everything on the desk, reopen the cargo menu multiple times, and I think it's completely gone. The end of the day 7 didn't mention anything about that package either, so it truly completely vanished.

Those small bugs didn't happened more than those 3 times for now, and luckily they are not too bothering, especially since the game doesn't give me any penalty for those packages, so there's no emergency to it !

P.S: I also just noticed the mouse clicker tunrning into a middle finger when giving a package back to someone, and I find it pretty funny X)

It's honestly a great concept with pretty graphics ! It was pretty easy to navigate, the controls were easy to get, the point I'm mostly sad about is the lack of saving system, it would be awesome to be able to save our island and keep coming back to it to discover new stuffs to add !

Really cute and fun ! As someone with childhood traumas who had to stop playing with toys very early, it's nice to have free ways to relive a bit of childhood innocence. I like to have it open in the background when I do something else, and sometimes pause to play with it to calm down. I would love a version where we can decorate the house ourselves ! I remember assembling a tidy house was the part I enjoyed the most when playing with dolls as a kid. Of course I understand how difficult it might be to create, that's just a suggestion I'm throwing in in case it can be helpful, and I already appreciate this game very much ! <3

Can't wait to see the full story then !

And thank you for your answer, I really like the absence of timer, for me it's an important key for a chill game, it's easier to appreciate the coziness of it

Great, thank you so much !

Adding this comment to say that I think I encountered a bug. I made sure that everything was in order for a package, I applied the correct stamp to it, and yet when I tried to place it in the cargo it wouldn't stay in place, it kept coming back on the side. It either happens immediately, or if I place the package first and then try to change it's position, then I can only place it back to where it was before. And either randomly, by trying too much times or by clickling too fast, the package will just vanish. I think it's for either of the 3 reasons I listed because it only happens right after I encountered the issue of not being able to place it in cargo

Just started playing it because I was looking for some layed back organizing game to keep my mind busy, a game who doesn't require me to be overly focused, but who could help me pass the time in a relaxing way. And this is honestly the one ! I'm playing the endless mode for now, but I'm planning on trying the story mode in the next days, once my attention span and my energy level are a bit better. It's a bit tricky to understand everything at first but I think I'm getting it ! I will happily follow any future update on this gem of a game ! (also, anytime I search for a game to keep my mind busy while I'm tired, I always have YouTube playing in the background. I find it funny that I was rewatching Markiplier's let's play of Papers Please as I found your game X) )

I just have two questions, I want to be sure that I'm getting it right. How does the gilded postage works exactly ? Do I just slap it on a package and it will avoid me to calculate the price of the shipment, or is there something more to it ?

Also, am I on a timer ? While playing the endless mode, I didn't had the impression I was, but I want to make sure. And will I have a timer in story mode ?

Here's my silly goth queer worm X)

I love it, it's so silly, and I love the memes hidden in some objects, either visually or the noise when we select them.

Just small issue, on the browser it seems like it's too moved in to see the buttons that are supposed to be on top of the screen in the screenshots you show. And also, how do I deselect an item ?

Otherwise, amazing idea !

It looks like something really cute ! I just downloaded it and tested some things, it's really cute, the choice of colors is perfect for the comfort of the eye and it honestly has some great potential ! My main feedback will be on things that could be upgraded on the goal setting part :

  • One of the first thing the star told me after the intro is the importance of breaking a challenge into smaller doable tasks. And so I was surprised to find out that we can only select one task and that's it. If the goal of the app is to show the importance of doing things one step at a time, then it's totally understandable and I support this way ! But I think that something that could outline this even better would be to be able to write down a big task, for example "cleaning my desk", and then have the star give us slots to encourage us to breakdown the task into small steps. The star could then keep cheering us up as we cross off each step one by one, and a big congrats once the big task is done !
  • And if the point wasn't to encourage us to focus on one thing at a time, then I will add that it would be great for the app to save our goals we set. I did the test by writting a task, closing and then opening again and it was gone. Again, I have no idea how big of a to-do list this app is supposed to be, if it's only for small tasks to do on the moment or if the possibility of planning big tasks on multiple days/few days in advance is also a possibility. Like for example (and following a bit my previous idea), crafting a birthday present. Breaking down that in the afternoon we're going to buy X and Y materials, tomorrow we craft the gift, and the day after we pack it up ! If this kind of planning is a future possibility for you, then maybe a "difficulty meter" could also work. And by that I mean that if a task take for example 4 days, the star's words of encouragments could be different than a one step task. The difficulty meter could be automatically set depending of the amount time the task takes, or the user can directly select it for it be more accessible, since a 2 steps task can be more difficult than others, or one specific task like "doing the dishes" can be more difficult depending of the person's health.

Those are just my ideas after few minutes of experimenting with it, and since I have no idea what are your ideas for it, take whatever you find interesting in my words ! I find this app really wholesome, I'll definitely go check your other creations !

Hey, j'imagine que tu parles français si tu utilises un AZERTY ? (if you don't speak french, sorry then, just let me know and I'll translate '^^).

(I hyperfixated and wrote a super long review because of how much I got impacted by the game, but since it doesn't seem to allow me to submit it, I'll post it here. Spoiler alert ahead if any new player passing by don't want any details of the gameplay)

It took me a while to try this game, mostly because horror atmospheric games that keep you tense are a bit too effective on me. And OH MY GOD I don't regret at all finally playing it, I spent the whole afternoon and evening on it ! I love every aspect of it, I can't find anything I would change about it personally, only few suggestions that I think could be nice if they're ever used !

The audio :

It's incredible. All the eerie noises are really effective, from the crawler's noises to the random short noises in the ambiant at night. It kept me tensed so much more, especially since I was wearing headphones. And I'm really impressed at the steps noises changing depending where we are walking. The noises that we make we step on a bunch of tall grass got me so many times because I thought it was the deer's steps right next to me. Also, I don't know if it's intended or not but it's really stressful how loud the boat is whenever we are repairing it, and it take so long to fill up the bar, I was just terrified to miss the noises of an incoming crawler, so it's really effective ! There's just 2 small things I noticed ;

  • The song on the main menu doesn't loop, it just ends abruptly and leave us with nature ambiant. I don't know if it's a voluntary choice or not, it just surprised me when I was afk on the main menu.
  • When we are using the well, I noticed an additional noise that I can't describe. I don't know if it's the sound of birds singing far away in the background, or the well squeaking as we use it. It's not bothering at all, just sharing in case it wasn't intended to be like that !

The visuals :

I absolutely love it ! The 2D models in a 3D world, the colors, the artstyle, everything fits the theme and atmosphere so well, it's incredible ! All the animations are also so clean and fluid too, it's unique and I love it !

The crow :

Really loveable, I love how the caws have been arranged to simulate them talking at the beginning, it's pretty cool ! I was thinking a lot about this crow, mostly because I would've love to see them a bit more. In a way their job of bringing stuffs to pick up is really helpful, and if it's always the same one bringing everything, then I would understand that it's not possible to do anything more with them. I would've loved to see the crow keep an eye on us from the rooftop of the house, sometimes giving us a bit of advice, or just some piece of thoughts. I love the idea of the game being wordless except the tutorial, but at the same time, having the crow being the only one that can talk is also an idea that I like. And to keep that feeling of wordless gameplay, maybe they could just have very few words of dialogue in game, maybe just enough to create an opening for some lore behind our character and why is this crow helping us ! But at the same time, since the deer appear right after the first night, I could understand that the crow doesn't want to stick around. So just leaving my thoughts here in case it can be useful.

The monsters :

All of them are incredibles ! And even if they seem like concepts already well known (clowns, wendigo, etc...), I still feel like they were created in a very unique way here ! I'm also really thankful that all of them make their appearances right in the first day and first night, I stayed so stressed and in alert that maybe another monster or another deer will end up appearing after few nights, but luckily nothing like that !

  • The crawler : Even tho it's a simple and common mechanic, its appearance is really what made it so special to me. During my first playtrough I just casually walked into my house and waited, and when I saw it crawl rapidly near my house and bang my door, it left me horrified ! It looks like it's straight up from a nightmare, and even tho the visuals of the game already have a dark spooky feeling, I was still not ready for something that nightmarish.
  • The shadow under the bed : This one really got me good. It took me 2 tries to understand how its spawning worked (I died the second time because I accidentally summoned it at the same time a crawler was about to appear), it's still a really east to catch and clever way ! We're not safe anywhere at all, and it's pretty chilling to realize that, I love it !
  • The clowns : I really love how their mechanic work ! I find that wholesome in a way that we are the one delivering a gift from one clown to another to comfort them ! But it's really difficult to locate them, I needed high quality headphones to correctly track the music. And btw, I love the detail of being able to hear the clown wind up the music box ! For me, it was a cute but really fear inducing moment, especially once the deer was roaming around. If I didn't had time to locate it before the music box started to play, I was just terrified of accidentally running into it.
  • The deer : Oh yeah, I really need to talk about it... It's one of the greatest idea I ever saw in a horror game. I really felt non-stop tracked, it's literally that famous immortal snail meme, but more horrifying because of how quick it moves once it turns into a wendigo. I tried the strategy of pissing it off in front of my door, and then run inside immediately, I thought it will run into the woods like the crawler. I was horrified when I finally understood that it was NEVER going to leave the farm AT ALL.  Pretty sure it's gonna hunt me in my nightmares now, 100/10, best idea ever for this game.
  • The random screamers : I usually think that screamers are just cheap and boring scares, but in this context they were a great idea. I got the shadow in the well, and a zoom on a crawler passing quickly in the woods, I don't know if there are any others, but they are really effective. I got really scared thinking I just discovered a new monster that was about to chase me, really good execution !

The gameplay :

It's easy to understand and to keep going, honestly just like everything I wrote above, my whole experience about it was highly positive ! I just wanted to add this part to give some suggestions that crossed my mind :

  • I love the idea of being able to customize our avatar's colors, and I think it would be really cool if we could even customize more things, like our interior ! Just the downside I find to that, is that time keep going while we are customizing, and so I'm doing my changes as quick as possible to avoid summoning the shadow. So I just feel like the game would be more enjoyable if we were able to have a small moment where we can just take a breath and customize some stuffs. Also, it's a bit sad that we can't try on the colors before buying them, I feel even more in a rush.
  • I really love the idea of not being safe anywhere, it makes us even more tensed and alert. But I was also thinking, it would be nice to have the possibility to get a breath without pausing the whole game. So how about maybe multiple gamemodes ? So we can keep this current one that is really amazing, and once we're able to finish it we could unlock other gamemodes ! Like a more endless one that would be more based around settling there instead of running away in our boat (maybe at the new location where we go with our boat ?), build defenses against the monsters (befriending the clowns ?(pls)), expand the farm, maybe even explore ? With a way to save our game, and maybe even temporary shelter to catch a breath, like sleeping a bit in a tent, but it end up falling apart to force us to always find ways to survive. Overall, developping more the farming part of the game ! With still the danger of course, it would be like an alone, horrific survival Stardew Valley-like.
  • (Also adding something I noticed with the death screen. I don't know it it's intentional or not but the game just keep going with out character dead on the ground. I got killed by the clown at night who stayed next to me, and as I stayed afk a bit I could see my lantern run out, the crawler come and attack me, then the deer appearing, walking towards me, turn into a wendigo and eat my body, all the monsters ended up stuck around me either doing their killing animation or just staying there)

This game is by far one of my favorite now, and I will gladly play it again and follow any future update. To all the people who participated to it, you did an amazing job !

I restarted my wifi and used 7zip and it worked, thank you so much ! I just finished the game and it's really cool, not only is the concept fun and the controls really smooth, but I really loved the details in the lore behind the characters, I enjoyed making sure I read all of their speech bubbles and seeing the different relationships evolve. The "COSY" between each level is also pretty funny. Overall a fully positive experience, it's a really nice game !

When I try to unzip the files, it says that the archive is invalid, and when I try with WinRAR it says that the archive is corrupted. I tried all 3 versions of the game for Windows and none work, what should I do please ?

I really love it,cozy and relaxing ! There's just few points that are a bit bothering me and breaking the atmosphere in my opinion :

  • I love cluttering, but it's really hard to correctly dispose and align small objects with the big red stripes across the object under it. The more I try to focus on ignoring it, the more it hurt my eyes.
  • I would love a feature where we can pause the day/night cycle, or illuminate the place during sunrise, sunset and night like it's the day. It's really hard to work on a harmony of color when they keep changing with the sun.
  • Just a minor detail, but I noticed that the items that are the farthest on the right in the items row have their name chopped off. The bubble explaining what it is is going off-screen, and so I still don't know what are few items, like the sort of planks at the end of the "shelves, counters & other furnitures" section, and the grey sticks at the end of the "Miscellaneous, familiar & ???" section.

But overall a really great and creative game, I joined the discord server yesterday ! I'm curious about the next updates, and will share some items ideas when I have somes ! <3

Really unique and creative, I love it ! I would just point out that if my mouse is even just a pixel further away in the limit zone, it won't allow me to click to place the element. I think things that would make it even better are :

  • More colors variations (mostly between the leaves, to better see the limits between them wen they're stacked)
  • A possibility to change which element will go on tope of each other (I like starting my mandalas from the center,  but it's more difficult since I can only add the items on top of each other instead of changing the order.
  • Maybe the possibility to reselect elements we already placed ? (Can be paired with the suggestion just above as well) To replace correctly if we get new inspirations in the middle of a mandala, or to erase an item without having to undo the possible other elements we added before making this decision.
  • Maybe adding some other types of natural items aswell ? Like rocks, sticks, moss, etc...

But globally, it's amazing ! Easy to understand, simple yet really open to let creativity free, the music is really soothing, all of that makes it really relaxing. You did an amazing job, thank you for that !
