Hello,
I've made in the past a game that was compatible with my phone's screen reader, more or less (this one here: https://lizziesmithson.neocities.org/FSEGame ) which I tested on my phone's screen reader and which seems fairly functional from what I can tell albeit with some irritating flaws (I wasn't able to get a tutorial working and the instruction sheet for the card game it's based on that I included is not screen reader compatible, which is frustrating), and I was interested in making another game like it and hopefully getting some feedback from players who use screen readers more regularly in hopes of improving my technique at designing these sorts of things...
Would it be inappropriate to use solely the screen reader tools I have available at my disposal to make a game for this jam, or is it required to design unique audio for our games?
Thanks in advance!

I found this game very moving--weirdly, the part that most horrified me (even moreso than the job hunting in Hollywood part!) was hearing about how Sears compensated its workers--as a retail employee who does art as a hobby, that sounded incredibly dark and not something I would be able to tolerate either lol. Congratulations on surviving!
it says on the jam description that it's fine to do a game about your experiences with disability, and I had an idea for a hyper-small kind of abstract physical game I could do about my experiences with my neurodivergence, but I wouldn't really call it accessible (game involves physically walking around which is kind of inaccessible imo)--would that be acceptable or is that a problem for this jam?
hey! Well, if we're sharing things we've already made, I make hyper-simple little, I guess they're ttrpgs although they tend to be a little light on the roleplaying aspect, paired with illustrations--in terms of size, this here is probably the smallest one that's actually any good (twenty-something words--i counted the # of words, but then I forgot while typing this comment >_<): https://lizziesmithson.neocities.org/Zines#135
game jam sounds fun! I already have some vague ideas of stuff i'd like to submit, I hope that doesn't count as cheating lol
This zine rules. Anyway, I don't want to alarm you or anything, but I think you might've gotten shadowbanned on twitter. I deleted my twitter account a year ago (cause it was giving me brain damage), but I check some of the accounts I used to follow from time to time, and your tweets haven't been showing up when I've searched for them. If this is a false alarm, good, but I know you rely on twitter for income and I wanted to let you know just in case you didn't already know. Sorry if this is old information, my bad if so.
Just played--got 16 points! IT Worker! Almost got zapped too many times, but I placed all the components, lol
I think the rules could be a bit clearer--it took me a bit to figure out that "movement" means the number of spaces you are allowed to move and "direction" determines the direction--I initially couldn't figure out what movement meant in this context, because the rules barely clarified. I was able to figure it out, though!
I played it on a drawing program on my computer, and I drew and erased my position each turn--I definitely feel I would've had a better time actually printing it out and using a penny or some kind of marker to mark my place. I think the latter might have been your intention, so I won't hold that against you lol.
I also think it would be better if I'd played it with friends, instead of going solo--i think you intended it as a multiplayer game, haha or that's the impression I get anyway
Good game! Keep going!
