Also forgot to mention, i am in fact enjoying kicking dynamite around QUITE a lot. What a great update!

So i've intuitively learned of the map [mapname] console command to reload those maps that gave me trouble yesterday. i've been playing at the highest settings and the most i've experienced in terms of slowdown is slightly under 60fps. i was running through areas aggroing every enemy i could find and just dodging while i study the framerate (this was actually really fun for me) and it was all good!

So, i must have been running other shit in the background while playing the game that caused the slowdown. shutting down my computer and then booting it up again today must've fixed it.

Sorry for the false alarm

I been getting slowdown in most of the Episode 3 levels, and maybe some of the later episode 2 levels. i'm not sure how to be more helpful with my description. i have been playing on Subjugator if that helps.

I would give more information but i kind of trained myself to ignore it, but then i thought -oh shit, i should probz report this just in case.
maybe i could go back and play again? Subjugator is hard tho

Yup. this is good positioning. loving that gun thiccness

Ayyy, nice!!

Honestly, kicking the dynamite alone would be really fun

I have some ideas!

I imagine the ways of the wrench, dynamite, kick, shield, and grenade launcher could work together to style on enemies.
I enjoyed playing Link in Smash Bros, this is reminiscent of that.

Perhaps making the dynamite bounce in a simple predictable arc when hit by non-gun player attacks (kicks, wrench, shield)?
Bouncing your own projectiles off the front of the pistol's shield?
Perhaps the ability to cancel out of reloads by switching weapons, or otherwise faster weapon switching?
Kicking away grenade launcher grenades. Both yours and the enemies'?
Sticking tripmines directly on enemies?

Some of the things i imagine doing with these are:
Bouncing dynamite, or other projectiles off the outside of the pistol's shield to shoot around corners or behind you
Kicking dynamite up off the ground and kicking it again towards an enemy, and shooting it out of the air right in their face
Throwing the wrench and then throwing dynamite at it on the way back. the dynamite flies over your head at enemies behind you
You miss a grenade launcher shot, and it lands close to you and you kick it away or kicking back enemies grenades
Sticking the tripmines on enemies bodies and kicking them away

These are likely FAR outside the scope of what the game is. This is more of a fun thought experiment for me and i figured i'd share!

I like this a lot!! The only very minor gripe i might have is the shotgun and grenade launcher perhaps look a bit too low with the higher vertical FOV's distortion.
However, when I enabled the letter-boxing, and it negated the distortion and also added visual charm In my opinion.

Ooh! thank you!

So, i just realized that there's no view increase when i go from FOV 90 to FOV 100. I just entered FOV 100 and assumed it was all the way to 100. Either way it works better for me than the default FOV

Here you go! I'm using FOV 100 in this image. I had to use a lower resolution than i use during game play to get it under 3 MBs. Hope this helps!

I'm glad the FOV function is in the console, but could we get it in the options? at least so that i don't have to put in the command again manually on a new level or a starting the game up again.
