No, but his brother Wilfred will be eventually.

If you read through all the currently available character episodes (accessed by clicking the love interests heads on the upper left of the main menu), two of them have evidence against your theory. Herbert is shown in one of them to be alive and well only a few years before the current story. And another reveals who died in the incident and it was someone else.

no

It's in his Episode. You play it from clicking his face in the upper left of the main menu.

(1 edit)

iirc: on day 5 after exploring the park and playground you need to go to bublix instead of going home. then on day 6 agree to spend time with parker later, then call mark. when mark suggests something say you're curious, then later accept the dare.

Talbot's brother

During the episode Gil always rejects Edgar's advances and/or believes it's just a joke when Edgar plays it off as one. while highly unlikely that Phylice would agree to it, open marriages and polyamory exist. As much as Gil kinda wanted to, I'm convinced he never actually did anything with Edgar (because Gil admits to still being a virgin on his day 7), so I think trying to have a relationship with Walter is fine because he and Edgar were never together, just friends and Edgar was flirty. Gil even implies Edgar is like that with everyone, though there are hints Edgar is actually serious when flirting with Gil. that doesn't mean Gil ever did anything with him.

Gil strikes me as the type of person who wouldn't joke about that if it wasn't true. the way he immediately takes it back because he wants to be seen as a sex expert, and how he reacts when Lars teases him about it later seems consistent with that to me. i'm going to assume it's true until if/when it is proven otherwise. and even if the virgin thing is somehow a nonsensical red herring joke, i highly doubt he would've slept with Edgar because he was so determined to not be a homewrecker

and the only thing Herbert mentions about it is Gil's reputation, likely referring to the rumors about him touching his students and possibly a false rumor (possibly started by Hendrik) that he has touched minors. what Herbert says doesn't need to have anything to do with Edgar.

as revealed on Gil day 7 if you don't sit with Gil on the bus, Gil is still a virgin. so no, Gil and Edgar never slept with each other.

Am I the only one who doesn't trust Benjie? He hates Ellie and treats her like crap while claiming to have a good reason, but she genuinely has no idea why. If it was really a good reason, wouldn't she be aware of it? And if he hates all doctors or something I don't consider that a good reason bc she presumably hasn't personally done anything negative to him. Between that and the time Adrian caught him suspiciously sneaking out in the middle of the night, Benjie is extremely sus to me atm. Benjie asking Adrian to trust him is giving me alarm bells.

Dingo

Gil deserves Parker's lectures, but for Parker to call him Gilbert is hypocritical. As far as Parker is concerned it's fine when Parker does things, but Gil isn't allowed to do the exact same things. Does a character who would treat a close friend so unfairly deserve respect?

We agree on it being none of Parker's business. That's part of my issue with him.

Parker complains about his weight in several routes and wants to lose weight, but he doesn't want to put the work in by dieting. It wouldn't make sense for Gil to make up the whole thing about it being an exchange, it's too weird to make up.

In Mark's episode, Mark overhears Gil and Parker talking about how Parker needs to start watching his weight, which sounded to me like their agreement hadn't been made yet. Parker said Gil touches him rarely, so it's conceivable that Gil hasn't touched Parker after the agreement. And this also puts into question the issue of Gil being a virgin because of Parker and all the hypothetical people Parker might've cockblocked him from since that would've also been before their agreement. For a long time I disliked Gil because of his behavior, but I eventually realized Walter hadn't properly expressed that he didn't like it. If you do have Walter say so, Gil stops immediately. The way Parker lectures Gil focuses on how Gil shouldn't act this way to/in front of students. Similarly to Walter initially kinda disliking it but never really saying so, I assume Parker never really complained properly to Gil about touching him or Gil would've stopped already.

Lars knows about the agreement in Anders route and thinks it's unnecessary (though ironically Lars would bonk Gil for being lewd later).

The scene where Parker brags about all the people Gil could've slept with without him and Gil says he's a virgin because of Parker suggests otherwise.

I'm not saying Gil shouldn't be lectured for his behavior, but that it's hypocritical for Parker to call him Gilbert. Immature behavior or not, it's unfair. And he even does it when Gil hasn't done anything at the time to deserve it, or he thinks Gil isn't around.

(1 edit)

That is not what I meant. I described Gil's feelings for Lars as former. If Gil wanted back with Lars, he wouldn't say them breaking up was the best decision they made. The whole thing about Parker trying to stop them on day 7 is a misunderstanding on Parker's end bc Gil is only helping Lars with being ill and has no intention of hooking up with him in the present. We only see Gil touch Lars in the past. If you mean what I said about the bad decision thing, people in the discord server think what Gil is saying ("he's here to stop me from making the same bad decision") is that Parker is there to stop him from getting back with Lars, but I'm unsure about that. It's possible that's what he means here, but Parker didn't have to interfere because nothing happened. I tend to think Gil isn't referring to that but instead whatever mistake Parker made that he doesn't want anyone else to make. I think Gil was so hurt by Lars disappearing that he lost his romantic interest in Lars, and that the reveal that he and Lars used to date is a deflection from whatever the real reason Parker is doing this to Gil.

It took me a long time to understand, but the psychology of sexuality class and paying close attention to how Gil acts towards Walter shows that if someone he was touching truly made it clear they didn't like it (except for when Lars says stop in his episode), he would stop. So if Parker has actually complained to Gil about it maybe he hasn't been clear enough. I'm not a character in this vn, I haven't touched anyone, what are you on about?

Parker is a hypocrite who calls Gil a name he hates being called constantly (usually as a form of punishment but sometimes when Gil hasn't even done anything wrong) despite himself also having a name he hates being called. He should be more understanding that Gil doesn't like being called Gilbert since he doesn't like being called Parkie. He doesn't even realize the problem here when Gil calls him Parkie in retaliation (Parker called him Gilbert for no reason first) and explains why he's doing so. Another reason he is a hypocrite is getting mad at Gil for liking a student while he does the same, but at least he admits the hypocrisy there. While it could be a joke, Parker bragging about all the people Gil could've slept with if he didn't have Parker really bothers me. Romantic and sexual freedom between consenting adults is incredibly important. I understand Parker wanting to prevent Gil from being with Walter due to not wanting Gil to get in trouble since Walter is a student, and wanting Walter himself. But Lars or any of the hypothetical people Parker may have cockblocked Gil from weren't Gil's students. It's none of Parker's business. Parker agreed to the deal of cockblocking Gil in exchange for Gil helping Parker with his food intake, but unfairly refuses to let Gil hold up his end of the bargain.

I'm talking about Parker route not Mark, he wanted to but Liz stopped him. We don't know how recent their agreement was. the convo between them Mark overheard in his episode on day 0 iirc seemed like they hadn't made the agreement yet. we don't know that he still has feelings for him

the Parker day 7 thing is Parker trying to stop Gil and Lars when he mistakenly thinks they're fucking in the restroom while Lars is actually vomiting. Gil thinks that he and Lars having broken up is a good thing. Gil makes it sound like a mutual decision, but it's possible that they were still dating when Lars disappeared and this hurt Gil. They had already broken up months before the vn started. The same wrong decision thing could either refer to getting back with Lars, or whatever mistake Parker made that he doesn't want anyone else to make.

the thing about Parker being why Gil is still a virgin could be partly a joke, like instead of being intentional maybe whatever came up that caused Gil to cancel his plans with Lars was Parker needing Gil's help with something (which could also be the night Liz put a missing persons report out on Parker).

as much as I complain about how Parker treats Gil and worry about him doing so outside the bounds of their agreement in the past and/or future, Gil did ask him to do so.

maybe Gil has unrequited feelings for Parker, but not as strong as his feelings for Walter or former feelings for Lars.

Lars and Gil used to be a thing, not Parker and Gil. Parker does have some mysterious papers from his previous job he doesn't want Walter to see, but there hasn't been any hint that they have anything to do with divorce and may have nothing to do with Gil.

What Herbert says about Gil is that he has quite the reputation and is someone to stay away from, doesn't imply Edgar specifically. This could easily be referring to the rumors about Gil being inappropriate with his students rather than anything to do with Edgar. we know Walter was an adult when Gil started touching him, but Gil may have been falsely accused of touching a minor, and maybe Herbert believes it

Lars is there when Gil says he's a virgin and his response is "....wow". If they had slept together I think he would've reacted differently.

Most of the server seems to think Gil meant that the same bad decision would be getting back with Lars but I'm not sure. Gil does say he asked for Parker to stop him, and that Parker means well.

As mentioned in Gil day 7 and shown in Episode Anders, Herbert was Anders' classmate in elementary school in Highwell while Walter was homeschooled, and they met again in high school. He appears in Episode Anders. Edgar asking Walter if he wanted to talk to Herbert wouldn't make sense if he was dead.

The twin switch idea is weird. Yeah in Parker's route there's that dream, and Gil thinks Herbert got sick more often when Walter remembers the opposite. But that seems to contradict Parker having fond memories of himself Gil and Lars taking care of one of the kids in the friend group who got sick often, which can't be Herbert since Gil only met him once or twice. And Walter having a dream memory about the rice ball story in Parker's route also goes against the switch idea to me. If they switched, he wouldn't have the real Walter's memories. Lars and Parker both say Walter hasn't changed at all, and Herbert is said and shown to have an opposite personality. If they switched, would he really be able to act exactly like Walter?

Gil describes it as an exchange. Parker is more than happy to stop gil. Remember how he wanted to stop gil and lars on Parker day 7? He mistakenly thought they were fucking in the restroom bc tora (sarcastically?) said it sounded like they were having fun, when in actuality lars was vomiting. Liz stopped him and told walter about the cockblocking bc she was concerned.

If you go to the hot springs with Parker on lars day 8 and don't play along with Tora, Parker instinctively bonks Tora because it reminded him of gil, and he talks about how he stops gil when he does stuff like this because gil asked him to.

And there's all the times Parker lectures Gil. And Gil saying he's still a virgin because of Parker.

In Anders route lars knows about the deal and thinks it's unnecessary.

These and Gil's explanation wouldn't make any sense if Parker had rejected the arrangement and wasn't trying to stop gil. He just wants it to be one sided bc he doesn't want to diet

Parker didn't refuse the deal though, he agreed to it but is just having it be one sided even though it's supposed to be transactional. the agreement is even mentioned in other routes. Parker has no problem interfering with Gil's sex life, but won't let Gil help him watch his weight which is what cockblocking Gil was supposed to be in exchange for.

(1 edit)

there's also the unfairness of their arrangement where Parker refuses to let Gil uphold his end of the bargain. yeah Gil asked him to but in exchange for getting Parker to watch his weight, which Parker won't let him do. so Parker gets to eat his cake and cockblock Gil too.

Gil says the arrangement is his own fault, starts to say why saying "i..." then he hesitates and walter questions him, then he says "lars and i" dated. i think that's a deflection and the real reason is something else. then he says Parker is there to stop him from making the same bad decision. he could just be referring to getting back with Lars, but i'm connecting it to what Liz overheard about Parker's mistake he doesn't want anyone else to make. the only thing we see him go out of his way to stop people from doing is sexual advances, and elsewhere it's said Gil is a bad influence on Parker. so maybe Gil feels guilty for whatever Parker's mistake was

Something I'd like to see later down the line is Asterion offering to give the MC an under-the-desk blowjob while the MC is working. After Asterion suggests it, you could even have it happen on a management day and optionally choose to assign him to that. And maybe they forget to lock the door and someone walks in and hilarity ensues.

to get these scenes all you need to do is choose deny when gil says you already agreed to sit with him on the bus, then these scenes happen later.

i don't think he's slept with anyone, i'm believing Gil when he says he's a virgin on his day 7. when Walter doesn't believe it, Gil is quick to take it back because he wants to be seen as a sex expert. to me this feels like he wouldn't say he was a virgin if it wasn't true. And later when Gil is teasing Walter about it being his first time at a hot spring, Lars teases Gil about being a virgin and his reaction confirms it to me. Lars also sounds surprised when Gil said it, meaning they never had sex and he never found out when they were dating (which is weird, but maybe Parker was cockblocking him even back then, despite their arrangement sounding more recent).

Herbert doesn't say that Gil is a family destroyer, only that he has a certain reputation and he's someone to stay away from, it's probably due to the rumors surrounding Gil rather than anything to do with Edgar.

I'm not so sure. He's actually still a virgin as of day 7 (this is revealed on Gil day 7 if you don't sit with him on the bus iirc). Would he really lose his virginity to Talbot of all people, who he seems to have no romantic/sexual interest in whatsoever in the other routes? Maybe since Lars is his ex he's extra jealous of him and Walter, but idk. It's possible they were kissing or something, but I very highly doubt it was sex. Or it could even be a red herring and Walter misinterpreted things and it was just an argument.

No one's talking about it because Lars day 9 is only out for patrons right now. I feel like people should try to avoid discussing patreon spoilers here until said content is made public, since this is the public page.

Unlikely, since public hasn't gotten Episode Anders or Episode Gil yet.

When Khenbish was initially introduced, I kinda wrote him off as a homophobic hypocrite (albeit the mildest case I've ever seen) since I have a lot of personal baggage towards that archetype. I then had a conversation with either Nanoff or Carbon that led me to realize I should try to be less judgmental about it and consider the global context, so I resolved to keep an open mind. This update proved me so wrong. This is the third time (after Luke and Nikos) this vn has taken a character I disliked and made me really like and care about them. To me this is evidence of the strength of the writing. I also realized Khenbish and I aren't so different after all. I felt catharsis during the Tuan stuff and the conversation between Khenbish's dad and the player. Bravo.

I downloaded the 0.6.1.1 hotfix but I'm still getting the same issue.

i don't see the harm in having it as an option, though i think the characters are too jealous for it to really work within the span of the game, i'd like to be proven wrong though and have it be an option. though it would also depend on what exactly the options are, since i'd really want gil/walter/lars poly, but andeh has suggested that gil/lars is over. andeh has also hinted at walter separately dating gil and parker simultaneously, which i don't personally care for.

None of the day 9s have even been released for patrons yet.

It's a midquel, it takes place during a timeskip near the end when Marco and Amicus go on their trip.

Gil lied about what he was doing on Saturday, he was actually at school doing teacher things like Parker.

(1 edit)

Parker is cockblocking Gil, and an obscure choice on Gil's route reveals that Gil's still a virgin because of Parker. He tries to stop Gil and Lars when he mistakenly believes they're fucking in the restroom (Lars is puking instead) but Liz stops him. Remember on Parker day 7 when Liz talks to Walter about Parker's cockblocking of Gil? She mentions overhearing Parker talking to himself about there being a terrible mistake he made that he can't let anyone else make. When Gil talks to Walter about it, he explains that Parker means well and that Parker's there to stop him from making the same mistake. If only Liz brought it up about that, she could easily have misinterpreted, but Gil also brings it up in conjunction with the cockblocking. The only serious thing Parker repeatedly goes out of his way to stop people from doing is unwanted sexual advances. On Lars day 8 if you go to the hot spring with Parker but don't play along with Tora, Tora suggestively backs Walter into the wall and Parker hits Tora out of reflex.

Though just to clarify, some of the virgin thing probably wasn't intentional, more that Parker needing Gil's help was why Gil cancelled his plans to sleep with Lars the night of Episode Lars. That was probably also the night Liz put out a missing person's report on Parker. Though this begs the question why they never slept together while they were dating, and Lars never found out that Gil was a virgin until Gil day 7.

That was talking about how Parker is pretending everything is fine and doesn't want Walter to learn the truth of the past ever. He did something so terrible that he doesn't feel regret for lying to Walter. I think this big mistake that he doesn't want anyone else to make is actually related to his treatment of Gil (and Tora). His declaration that he won't let the other love interests hurt Walter again is giving me potential yandere vibes.

That's fair, but Adrian catching him sneaking out in the middle of the night is incredibly suspicious.

everyone simping for benjie now, forgetting how sus he is, and how he hates ellie and treats her like crap while she has no idea why. he could just be a red herring, but if he turns out to be a traitor, don't say i didn't warn y'all
