Honestly, the idea for the game was a stroke of genius. I'd love to see something like this in a full fledge puzzle platformer, and the idea was executed amazingly. The sole thing I can say against this game, is that there was a lack of difficulty. That's of course understandable, considering this was made for a game jam. It's impressive you managed to avoid the tedium that this mechanic might bring with good level design. Standing ovation.
