Wow this essay had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish lol
It's so random having the game analyzed on such a deep level but I'm glad you liked it 🫡 (unless you are trolling, in which case, congrats on your commitment to the art)
In theory, giving a hamster a shotgun is a terrible idea, but after playing this game, I'm starting to consider it..
Seriously though, I had a lot of fun and this is a great example of how a game doesn't need to be super complex to be fun and addicting! For a first game, you both did a really great job!
Game Title: Debug or Die https://itch.io/jam/my-first-game-jam-summer-2023/rate/2206071
Pitch/Information: A 3d wave based shooter where you play as a programmer who enters the virtual world to fight enemy bugs! End the cycle or continue the loop?
I'd like feedback on: Your experience with anything in the game! (visuals, gameplay, audio, music, balancing, etc.) I had to balance all of the waves in the last half an hour so I'm curious whether or not people are able to beat it :)
After some testing, I'm realizing the game could be a bit too difficult in the later waves, so I thought it may be good to put some tips and a bit of a disclaimer!
- You can interact with most of the objects in the main menu screen
- Keep moving, but make sure you keep track of the obstacles around you so you don't get cornered
- Use the obstacles to your advantage
- Vending Machines cost 0 if you have no ammo and not enough money
- There is an ending to the game after Wave 9
Let me know if you are able to beat it! :)

funny that you asked, the main ball is named lil golfy somewhere on a planning page but unfortunately it didn't make the cut into the final build.. if you're interested, I will write and publish an 1000 page encyclopedia detailing the history of lil golfy and his friends, along with the trials and tribulations they faced on their journey towards their inevitable fate on the golf course
