Ton of polish on this one and had a lot of fun with it. Really like your take on the theme.
i was utterly and completely wowed at how immersed I was in this game. I felt the pain each golf ball felt as they were getting saved by the main ball. It really can show such a deeper meaning of the world, how society can so easily thrive if simply picked up and aided properly. Gosh, literal chills. The asethetics made the game have a calming nature while the music gave it a fun twist. If the ball physics were only slightly looser (a bit difficult to turn and what not) then it would be absolutely gorgeous, but for the time given this game was an absolute 20/10.
lol well I'm glad you liked it, and I totally agree on the ball turning, I tried to find a middle ground but it ended up being so slow in the final build
I understand the difficulty of the ball turning, but I do have one question, do the balls have lore? What are their names? Their stories?
funny that you asked, the main ball is named lil golfy somewhere on a planning page but unfortunately it didn't make the cut into the final build.. if you're interested, I will write and publish an 1000 page encyclopedia detailing the history of lil golfy and his friends, along with the trials and tribulations they faced on their journey towards their inevitable fate on the golf course
I am deeply interested, cant wait to read it!
Glad to see fellow golf games, such a unique interpretetion, congratulations, the highlight for me goes to the aesthetic. Simple but effective
Thanks for rating our game! This is a really nice submission. I never would have thought to turn golf into a racing game. Going over the ramps is really satisfying. If you have more time to work on this, some kind of time to beat could add a sense of urgency. Nice work :)
Thanks! The thought of doing a timer and some of score-keeping did come to mind but I totally ran out of time lol
