Thanks for clarifying, I get it, you always have to cut a lot of stuff for time. In my first jam I had to cut like 50% of the shit I wanted to implement due to time.

This game looks great, but I found the mouse to lack sensitivity, and I couldn't find a way to open a menu to change it, I dunno if such options exist in the game, and it's ok if they don't, it's a jam after all. However, I'm not sure what the objective of the game was other than just kill monsters and stuff, and I felt the controls, especially shooting were a bit clunky.

But again, for a game jam project this is super impressive.

Thanks, we all appreciate it.

As the artist of this game, any compliment to my sprites are greatly appreciated :)

As the guy responsible for making the aformentioned art that you said look awesome, thanks, this comment is a nice way to stroke my ego, lol...

I can't even get past wave 6, and there are doods getting to wave 20's

Thanks, heheheh

Sadly you cannot remove placed units at the moment, but we do plan to add this feature soon.

Thanks. We all appreciate it

Great I also got another one with me, he might bê willing to work with us😁 I can do pixel art then. Also, I added you on discord

Thanks, but I'm already talking to some other people here, and besides, i'd rather use Godot.... best of luck for you tho :)

That's great :) especially if we could get another artist to assist, I am somewhat confident in my pixel art, but I'm still a beginner and I mostly do character/creature sprites... I could program as well tho.

Either way, if you want, feel free to DM me on Discord. My username is @costélinha.

Also, if you're a bit curious I can even show you my portfolio with other games I've worked on:  https://guilhermejuventino.github.io/Portfolio

A
lso for the Pumpknight game, again you can find that on my Itch.io, I forgot that I didn't include the game's link on the portfolio, only the github repository...

Hi, I'm a programmer/pixel artist who's also thinking of joining a team, I'm not super experienced but I have finished one game for a game jam before which you can find on my itch.io page....

So I'm a programmer, with some experience with stuff like pygame, and the godot game engine, (which I used for my first jam) I'm also a beginner pixel artist, but I always made my projects solo for everything, I never tried teaming up before, would you guys recommend it? and if so would anyone be willing to team up with a newbie game dev who has zero experience with team work of any kind?

Oh, would you look at that, a new demo, I've been following the devlogs for this game for a while now :)

No problem. Have fun :)

Yeah, maybe I should have made it more clear, or also added the instructions in the game's page.

Actually in the main menu, if you click the controls button, it takes you to a screen showing the game controls. Either way the jump button is Z.

Thanks, and yeah. It has a few bugs indeed hahaha

Thanks, and in retrospect, I agree that making the player wait for the enemies to move out of the way was a bit annoying. As for the spikes, the hitboxes are pretty big, and bugged. For example a couple of players found out you can just walk over the spikes in level 2 if you build up enough speed.

Thanks :)

It's a pretty nice prototype, I just find the controls to be a bit.... stiff? I dunno, but aside from that it's pretty solid, I personally feel this game's strongest point is the visuals.

Pretty good visuals, and it feels very nice to play. And I also like the soundtrack.
