I'm excited to announce that I've just released my game Faith & Fury, a tabletop role-playing game that is about the faith and fury of knights, monks and pilgrims on a crusade in the Holy Land. You can find the game at: https://gunnlaugur-arnarson.itch.io/faith-and-fury

Faith & Fury is a role-playing game where you embark on a randomly-generated crusade with choices to be made along the way, as you and your fellow players weave a sweeping narrative to chronicle the crusade. Players take on the role of Knights, Monks and Pilgrims. In the game, the role of Game Master is a shared one, rotated through the course of the game, and gives everyone an opportunity to describe the locations and situations as well as act and play part in making choices around the situations that emerge.

The game is designed to be easy to learn and easy to play, while offering a level of replayability despite its compact design.

If you'd like to show your support, consider paying 2.99 or more to get access to the optional bonus content (including a Black & White Edition), share the game's page with your friends, and leave a comment.

The game as part of the One Page RPG Jam 2023: https://itch.io/jam/one-page-rpg-jam-2023

I'm dealing with an issue which as far as I can tell appeared just today. The problem is that it appears that the social media promo image for one of my game pages is not showing up in the preview of tweets anymore. I believe this is an issue related to itch.io as I've been able to replicate it both on my desktop and mobile on twitter. The issue is as follows.

Despite having set up a social media promo image and everything was working fine when posting the game page link to Twitter with a preview in the past, today appears to be an exception as it no longer shows up in new tweets I attempt to make nor is the promo image showing in preview of old tweets anymore. At first I thought it might have been a browser cache problem on my end, but after clearing the cache, this does not appear to be the case.

The game page on itch.io I'm referring to is: https://gunnlaugur-arnarson.itch.io/junkpunk. The problem is that it shows up as in the image here below, while other game pages I've tried to put into tweets will appear as they should with their promo image or thumbnail. This is not a problem on Facebook, the page appears as normal there.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Does anyone know what could be the problem and what can be done to solve this?

The raccoons are out and about! There‘ll be nothing but havoc in the Junkyard from now on!

JunkPunk is a tabletop role-playing game for 4-7 people including one Keeper (Game Master) and comes in a print-and-play format with two types of pamphlets. Play as a group of rebellious raccoons who want to make the local junkyard and its treasures their own. The game is played with pencils, paper and a handful of six-sided dice. In it you‘ll find:

  • A compact easy-to-learn, easy-to-run and easy-to-play role-playing game system perfect for one-shots.
  • Rules for creating and playing a raccoon brimming with personality, quirks and mischief.
  • Rules for a crafty raccoon to construct creative gadgets, tools, armors and weapons from the junk they find throughout their adventure.
  • A run-on-the-spot game-play with a zero-preparation adventure generation for ease of play.

You can find it at: https://gunnlaugur-arnarson.itch.io/junkpunk

I'm happy to hear that! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts once you've played it!

Thanks!

Yes! Without going into too much detail and spoiling the experience for others who may read the comments here, I can safely say that there's more to the game. If you search the room close to the blocked hallway you'll be able to find a path leading you further on into the game.

The Gotland Game Conference Demo of Argelite is designed for splitscreen with 2-4 controllers, as a result there is no keyboard/mouse support at this time.
