So two questions...
1. A side from the Final Version, why is there 4 other versions of it?
2. I played the ones before the Final Version came out, and noticed that the art style during the scene was drastically different, to the point where some of the characters were unrecognizable, is this apparent in the Final Version as well or has the scenes been revamped?
Academy 34 - Mothra
I've recently just downloaded the game and have just caught up to the current story. So far this is a great game, but there are some personal nitpicks that bothers me.
This is just personal preference, but I wish that Tracer and Mercy's character art are a bit cuter.
Another thing that bothered me was the money system. It takes quite a bit of time to collect the money and most of the time it just feels tedious and isn't very rewarding.
Maybe if later in the game you can increase the amount you earn when you level up your intelligent, or even have sombra make a faulty hacking app that allows you to steal money from people might me fun as well.
Finally, a teacher lounge could be incorporated so that you don't have to wait an entire week to talk to one of the teachers.
However, the overall experience was very fun. I love the stories you guys created, especially the one with D.Va and Sombra, and the humor and sarcasm sprinkled throughout the game, beautifully done.
The only question I have left is when is Kiriko and Tracer's Gf going to get added?? >:3
Alpha 0.8
Just tried the game out, and so far it's an alright game, since the game could use a bit of polishing. The game was really dark and the only way that you could increase the brightness was by increasing the graphic quality. Speaking of the graphic quality, it wasn't as ideal...
This game requires a really good graphics card to run, because in my playthrough, my frames kept bouncing up and down, going from 100 to 2. This led to a lot of lags and there were even times where it lagged so much that the game froze. It could be due to the fact that the poly counts are a bit high or my own device could be the issue.
However, a pretty nice game overall.
I agree with your statement, discipline is very hard raise, and the only way I was able to raise it, is when I talk to them about their chores. The chances of it raising it quite low and it's even worse if you have low charisma.
However, when I did have a high discipline for my slaves, I found is extremely easy for me to increase their skills, so IMO I think that the way to obtain discipline is balance for now, due to its ability to turn a low level slave into a god.
Edit:
If you want a fast way to increase discipline, I would first suggest that you have a high charisma so that you won't get the negative stats when you fail. In addition, you might have to utilize the scum save tactic where you save before talking to them about their chores, and reloading it to the saves if you didn't get it.
If you want to do it the legit way, you gotta rely on rng.
So I accidentally stubbled upon a bug that could give you infinite money in the latest version (0.7.9.4).
After becoming an instructor, click on the "Tutor" option. After you've finishing tutoring click on the "Manage Slave" Option. Under the "Student" Colum, select one of the 4 options available. What should appear is the summary screen for your "Tutor". If you click on "Manage Slave" you will earn money as well as standing in the academy. You can click on the "Manage Slave" button again and again, I'll continue to generate Money and Standing (Academy) infinitely. In addition, the time will not increase as well.
I've been playing this game for three days now, and so far I'm praying that this game doesn't go on hiatus, get dropped or abandoned since it's one of this best Text-Based game I've played (I.M.O.).
However, a suggestion I do have would be to make a quest for the factory job, letting people know that there's a source of income there.
Although it may be embarrassing to admit, it took me 2 days to discover this and it had made my 3rd run thought of the game so much more nicer than my initial ones. It's primarily good for early games, and especially useful for when you're playing on the higher difficulty.
