Great stuff. I look forward to slicing all my sprites up again :D

Tied up with work (and having trouble keeping pace with Shawn's patches) but yes. I've made a lot of progress on it since the last update.

Thats a pain. I think i have a 360 gamepad, I will try it out. Did you try a wired one, and was that any different?

Thanks for the comments. Agree the font could probably use some readability improvements. 9 often looks like a 3...

Did you find the inventory easy enough to use?

Good, average seems to be 90-150, from almost everyone who's played it. I think that gives me solid info on how to scale some things.

Food doesn't increase between floors, but it's possible to land immediately on an apple or a stack of coins, which would change your level of those resources accordingly. I might try to do something against that, since it might doesn't feel polished.

Will the initial boats be for following coasts and rivers for trading materials between settlements only?

I have been building roads across rivers as a bridge to transport goods around within the one settlement. Some way to use small barges to move resources around inside a settlement would be cool. If you are adding canal digging when you implement irrigation, canal barges would play well with that too.

Two more structures today; storehouse and pasture. Tower has a wood upgrade but I'm not 100% happy with it yet.

Also working on warrior sprites.

It's meant to be an aurochs :D

I get that the pig is an in-joke, but idk. I love aurochs :V

I noticed setting the worker amount to ~5 or more mostly resolves the issue. They are still gathering around one point quite often, if they have it in their head that they don't have a job to do. It's like they are considering themselves unemployed even if there's roads or trees to cut. The default 2 worker limit seems to cause them problems. This didn't happen in prior version. weird!

Bronze Age community · Created a new topic Art pass mod

Found some tools to work with the XNA packages and started making an art pass for personal use.

The objective is clearer visual language and more coherent art style. Also cute details.

If developer is not opposed, I can release something when it's all done.

Hi, I've noticed in this patch the villagers sometimes seem to lose track of what they're doing. In my first world they just wouldn't carry out any work orders like cutting trees or placing roads (other assignments were OK)

So i tried another world briefly and found they'd attend to their duties as normal, but i didn't like my starting location so I didn't test further.

Tried again just now, start location looked nice,  and workers were building no problem, so I continued with it. I got a really strange glitch where all the workers are stacking into a single location so it looks like I have only one villager.  They are very slow to carry out work orders, but they are still doing it.

I realise this is a really weird glitch and my description probably isn't helping you at all in finding out what's going on. I can send the save files or something if you like.

The game is amazing already by the way. I love the regular updates. If you need help with graphical stuff, hit me up if you like.
