Well, it's what you said, it's all supposed to be a toy. There wasn't a lot of thought on the scale of the objects, I made them all roughly the same sizes. And I guess it's kinda funny having a rocket bigger than a planet :P

 Oh, and also... thanks for leaving a comment on my game. I spent a long time working on it and nobody cared about it. Seeing at least a single person slightly interested by it after all these years makes me a little happier. :)

It's really easy to get the key in 21. Just use the tower to press the button (get on the platform then drop onto the button) and move the king to the left and get off the button temporarily so the king can cross the gap.

Previously only on gamejolt, I've decided to move the project here!

PAPA is a surreal point and click puzzle game where the solution is never what you expect. It's quite easy and only takes around 10 minutes to beat, so I hope you enjoy :)


It was originally made for a small brazilian game jam... and it won! Now, about one year later, I have some plans to expand on the concept. Time will tell...

The beauty of gravity and orbital mechanics (the classic, newtonian version) is that everything just boils down to a single equation, the law of universal gravitation. The gravitational force between any two objects is always

F = Gm₁m₂/d²

Just making it so everything attracts everything else using that equation is all there is to it. Realistic orbits and orbital mechanics just emerge naturally!

And that is strange. I tried downloading the game a few times both in itch and in the website and everything worked fine. I'm not sure what could be going on. Could you send a screenshot, maybe?

Thanks for the feedback! Saving "scenes" is a feature I have in mind and most certainly will add to the game eventually. Also, don't worry, I know how to handle saved data :)

Currently, you'll have to reinstall it. Automatically updating a game is kind of tricky, but I do plan on adding that in the future!

Cool concept! Gravity as an art tool is a very unexpected yet creative idea.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! I absolutely do feel like every player matters. The simple fact that at least ONE person downloaded it makes me happy.  I'm a single developer working on it and this is pretty much my first public game, so I don't really know how all of this stuff works... I don't know many people and I don't know how to find players, so I'm glad at least a few people found it. Something that happened a couple of weeks ago that made my day was watching its first gameplay on Youtube. It's a really small channel and the video got just about a dozen views, but that was really special to me.

I live 10 thousand km away from GDC and have no time or money to even consider going there in the next 5 years. I hope to one day go there, though...

I spent pretty much the entirety of 2018 (and late 2017) developing a sandbox game. I fully released it earlier this year, but not many people played it... It's okay, because most of the people who did (and left reviews!) seemed to really enjoy it. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want more people to know about it!

This game is like a beloved child to me! The original concept (a gravity sandbox game without any planets) started in early 2017, when I made a 2D experiment about colliding squares. Today, it's a much, much bigger game and I'm quite proud of it. If you check it out, I hope you like it!

As a side note, you asked how do you create orbits like that one in the beginning of the game. Well, all you have to do is launch objects with the spacebar!

Do you like gravity? Are you tired of gravity games with collisions that just result in a bigger sphere?

The Gravity Box just got released. And it's just that: a sandbox game with a bunch of small, solid objects, that attract each other!

  • In situations of extremely low FPS, gravity calculations can lose precision
  • Giant clusters of objects can sometimes start spinning by themselves
