It's a cool demo. I like the visuals of this game - it looks really nice.  The movement of the character is fluid and smooth. The music is very epic and fits the tone of the game. The enemies and obstacles are challenging enough.  Overall it is quite a pleasant experience.

Some suggestions I have:

- Wall jumping is a bit difficult. I struggle with it. I think, maybe, you should jump to the opposite wall regardless of the direction you are pressing. Not sure.

- In the place where you teach the player to use dash jump after you perform it you immediately get hit by the cat on the opposite ledge and then fall to lava. I think there should not be an enemy there.

- The demo doesn't have a definitive end. You just have to quit at some point. I think maybe show a splash screen after the cutscene?

Overall, I liked the demo. It has a huge potential. Good luck to you in further developing this game.

I restored the demo.

Enjoy!

Very clever game. Cool and simple design. It was great.

Thank you for playing my game and giving your honest feedback. I guess, being overwhelmed and not knowing where to go in the beginning is a part of the experience of playing a Metroidvania game.

Thank you for taking your time and giving a detailed feedback. I might need to do a few changes to the game to avoid this kind of scenario altogether.  Probably to put a gap on the left side of the beam, so player won't be able accidentally push the box past the beam.

Yeah, it seems to be broken. Doesn't the box reset its position when you restart from the last checkpoint?

Thank you so much for playing and giving your honest feedback. It helps a lot.

I imagine there are still some bugs, that I haven't encountered yet, so thank you for pointing them out.

The game is not well-optimized for browsers, as it is supposed to be a PC game. But I made the demo build for those who want to try it without downloading.

I'm glad that you liked the game overall and I will try to improve it, based on your suggestions.

I'm glad I could help!

(1 edit)

It's a cool and unique concept!

Keep it going!

I recorded a bit of me playing the demo. Maybe it will be helpful.

This game looks amazing.

I like the visual style and the animations. I think eventually is going to be a great game.

The demo, however, has a couple of issues.

- It runs very slow on some browsers (Chrome, Edge - it is unplayable, Firefox - more or less acceptable, but still slow, so I could only play it on Firefox)

- Gamepad mostly works, except for the left stick (when I press down, nothing happens). [note: I had the same issue with the demo of my game. It happened only on the WebGL build, so I added specific movement instruction for WebGL on the New Input System in Unity and it fixed it.]

- I wish the character could attack while walking, and not stop to attack, because it makes it harder to fight in high-paced boss fights.

Besides that, it looks awesome and I wish you guys good luck!

I recorded some gameplay in case it would be any help for you.

e

It's a cool demo.

I've done a little playthrough of it.

I, obviously suck at this.

This demo looks awesome.

The art and music are great, I like the nostalgic vibe of it.

The combat looks smooth, though I, personally, would add a small arrow above the character/enemy you are selecting, because it is hard to see at times which one is currently selected.

The boss was reasonably challenging and managed to kill me a couple of times, so I had to employ some strategy to win - which is a good thing.

The demo left me intrigued and wanting to play more.

Good job! Keep it up!

I recorded my playthrough in case it would be of any use to you.

I had the same issue, but changing resolution then going back to the original resolution fixed it somehow.

Cool and original idea. Well balanced and challenging gameplay. Good job!

Overall great game. I like the jet mechanic and the swimming is nice and smooth.

Couple suggestion that I have:

• I would make the controls less "floaty" as it is hard to control sometimes. Character gains a lot of momentum and its hard to stir him, especially in mid jump

• Make character not automatically fall from the ladder when reached its end, but only when jump button pressed

• Maybe the ability to shoot arrows while climbing ladders would be cool?
