I've heard it's technically possible using an emulator, but given the file size, it's not likely.

An easy way to add a new character is using VSelect.exe

First, open that.

Right click an empty space and select "insert".

Choose the character's .def or .zip file.  You can drag the character's position around. Then, at the top left, click file->save

There's a lot of mugen content that's pretty obscure. I think lost media is a fitting way to put it.

You can add your own characters if you want. You'll need to play them in the chars folder and then edit the select.def file in data/MMMD

This version of the Mugen engine doesn't natively support an explicit Vs CPU mode, but you can effectively get there by using ctrl+1 or ctrl+2. This will enable the AI for player 1 or 2 respectively. So, load up into either versus mode or watch mode and toggle the AI.

You can, but you'd have to edit the game files a bit. In data/MMMD/select.def you can change some of the aggressor's (starting around row 9) order = 1/2/3 to 4,5,6, or 7.

I've had some problems with mediafire in the past. I put up a mirror from mega on pixeldrain. Hopefully that's just as good.

I'm some who has bought this creator's game on Itch.

I'm no expert, but in my experience so far, I haven't had any negative or malicious effects on my PC because of their game.

I hope this helps. I would hate to see their progress halted because of this.
