Skimming through the discord reveals that this version supposedly is properly optimized which is why they didn't ship a low spec version

I'd have to disagree with the assessment that this version is properly optimized, or at least with the notion that it makes the SD version redundant, I'd agree if they simply said that this version is better optimized than the previous HD version, that would be true, but it certainly doesn't reach the same level of performance that was achievable in the SD version

There also seems to be some kind of leak as the player interacts in a room that can only be fixed by the player leaving and entering the room they are in, emphasis on only, as saving and loading doesn't seem to fix the problem, even quitting the game before loading the game, but leaving and entering the room completely fixes this, even if nothing changed visually. With that it's not surprising that the trials is where there are the most performance problems as players can't leave and enter the trial room at will, so the performance degradation accumulates over the course of several hours until the game struggles to even reach 30 FPS even though a few hours back the game was running perfectly fine

Agree with the timeline criticisms, it just doesn't line up, they could probably fix it changing a few of Diana's lines saying that once trapped she tried to wake up Wolfgang for a long time before he finally did, as for the rest:

>How did she steal the stuff

I think it's fairly simple, she stole from rooms with nobody inside, and most likely didn't have someone on her at all times, Damon is also suspicious to the other students yet he was able to sneak by to the boiler room to talk to Tozu, considering Eva was planning the murder for a couple of days she likely had plenty of opportunities to be sneaky

>Eva turned the lock around. How did she do that

Yeah, this one has some problems, you'd need a screwdriver to do that, while I'm sure there's one in one of the rooms this is the kind of detail it'd be explained, maybe it's meant to be revealed early in chapter 2, maybe Tozu helped, while the games take from Danganronpa, to assume he tries to be as neutral as Monokuma is probably a mistake

>Doors don't just automatically lock

The one in the boiler room is a kind of lock that does that, it's called a storeroom lock and exists in real life

Yeah, not sure how you could be so clearly inspired by Touhou while simultaneously missing that your hitbox is merely a dot in those games

There's also two other problems with it: You can't change difficulty and you can't save during this minigame, the average Danganronpa fan that plays on mean may end up thinking they can handle the mean difficulty in this game only to be met with a very high difficulty spike compared to anything in the main games, so I think the ability to save and change difficulty should be obvious things to add, one for the players that are willing to take on the challenge but lack the time to do it and the other that don't want to spend hours on such a difficult part

Regardless if the devs really want to keep the minigame with its current difficulty, move it to an extra mode and nerf the one that's met in the main story, it's incredibly out of place during it, you could argue the rhythm minigame is equally out of place in the main games, but compare that to actual rhythm games and the difficulty difference is quite notable
