Time to share my opinion to the wonder internet :D Honestly, I LOVE the story so far, at first I kinda thought the prologue and interludes went on a bit too long since you don't get to do anything in them, but looking back on it I definitely see how it's needed for exposition haha, anytime it's brought up it hits MUCH harder than it would have if it hadn't gone into detail.

And chapter two made UP for it, the customization is probably one of the best I've seen in ANY cyoa game ever and I LOVE how it keeps getting brought up. I absolutely HATE how in most games you get to create a whole character and then proceed to only hear it brought up in a summery of your characters right after you create your character, it's AWFUL ;-; and this one doesn't do that, so thank you :D

But yeah, can't wait to meet the twins, I actually love their personalities lol, sorry for the rant, 10/10, will play when chapter 3 comes out :]

Can you specify the reason you can't use the downloadable version? It might be fixable, but if it isn't, I suggest going to the discord and bringing up the problem there, there are many people who would be glad to help :]

Thankfully, some nice guy commented giving a short tutorial on how to download the game for Chromebook and gave a link to the official google doc for the game. I'm gonna paste it below :]

1. download Linux

2. Open the terminal

3. Type in or copy paste this:

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://install.clangen.io/stable/linux-glib2.31.sh)"

Thanks very much! I don't use a chromebook but I do like to scroll through the comments and just help people and I see alot of people wondering how to download for chrombook and I would just have to say "go to discord" since idk how to download for linux. But now I can save this, thank you! :]

Since FlipAClip is a mobile app, I'm assuming you are trying to download this on mobile, which doesn't work. The game only works on computer, and the devs aren't planning on making a mobile version atm

What computer are you using?

You're clicking the first link, which is just the game that this game is inspired from. If you want to download the game, go down to the downloads section and download the version for your computer. Hope this helps :]

(Note : This game doesn't work on mobile, the web version is not as up-to-date as the downloadable version, and if you are using a chromebook, there is a way to download it but it's kinda complicated, so go to the discord and ask there)

There isn't an exact version made for Chromebook buuuut I do know that you can download the linux version and use that to run the game. If your game is updated to a certain version (I believe 9.0.0 and onward, but not sure) then the game will automatically tell you if there is an update and gives you a prompt to update the game. If it is not then reply and I'll give more info.

When you download the game, make sure to turn off your virus detector, certain ones will think the game is a virus when it isn't and will delete the game. Hope this helps :]

In the recent updates the devs have updated the mating tab pretty close to what you are describing :) Also the devs apparently have a lot of ideas in the works rn so they aren't taking any suggestions, which is understandable.

Ah, sadly I do not know how to use the Linux files for Chromebook but if you go into the discord you should be able to ask how to download the game for Chromebook there. Hope you find out how to get the game to work :]

There should be a auto updater in the newer versions, but if you are still using the older versions you gotta go into the game and go into the settings, click the data directory button in the corner, then go into the saves file. Download the latest version and copy your saves into the new game's save folder. Hope this helps :]

Your virus detector might also be deleting the actual program thinking it's a virus when it isn't, so just make sure when you download the game to turn off your virus detector.

Download file to your computer, extract file, look for Clangen.exe file, run. Can't find it? turn of virus detector when you download file. Idk what you do for linux. Go to discord if you're using chromebook. If this doesn't help then I'm pretty sure there is a tutorial somewhere.

Hmmm I haven't heard of the downloaded version doing that before. The online version does that a lot since it's not as maintained. Just make sure you are downloading the right file (Windows, linux, etc.) and have your virus detector off when you download it (Some virus detectors delete the game thinking it's a virus when it isn't). Other than that you might wanna take your problem to the discord since I have never heard of that happening with the downloadable version. Sorry to hear you're having trouble :(

(P.S. The game isn't compatible on mobile devices and if you are using a chromebook I think you have to do something special, ask the discord if you are using a chromebook)

1) They have specified that they aren't adding albino cats or, for that matter, hairless cats due to certain health conditions for those cats that make it hard to live.

2) There are certain accessories that look phenomenal, I once got a cat with a neon collar and it was black and rainbow, and it looked pretty cool. His name was Rigatoni as well, favorite cat I've gotten. So yes, there are "bling cats" in the game already, just gotta get lucky.

3) I believe the devs are actually working on something for the fresh kill pile. I think they have talked about it a bit and there even was a prototype in a dev version once apparently so it might be a WIP atm.

4) Idk what they are doing for genetics, but I'm pretty sure it is not on the devs to-do list since it isn't really as big as a feature as other things :P

I don't exactly know specific updates or details. BUT I'm pretty it's still being worked on. I think they are working on making more mechanics to make the game more realistic. I have heard that they are working on a fresh kill pile and it was apparently featured in a dev mode so maybe they are working on that rn. :P

But yeah, sorry but I don't think there has been much info on cruel season rn

Yeah, I think it would be quite hard to do this but it's definitely a cool idea. Plus, maybe you could change where cats sleep and have two cats sleep next to each other to improve their relationships, but idk.

I'm not sure if the devs are working on making this game an app atm since that would require quite a bit of work, but I think they are fixing the web version a bit. Also, just saw someone else say this, but apparently certain anti-viruses actually delete programs that they believe is a virus. When you download your game make sure the anti-virus is turned off, then download your game and look for the Clangen.exe program. Hope this helps :)

Idk about mods, but I think you could find the answer to that on discord

As for editing cats, open the game, go into settings and click the Open Data Directory button in the bottom left corner, then open the folder with the clan that you want to edit and look for the clan_cats.json file. There will be a loooooooooong list of all the cats you have and you'll be able to edit everything. Hope this helps :) (Btw, never done this before, so this might not work, but I'm assuming this is how you do it)

Yeah, you should just download the game instead since the web version has quite a couple of bugs. I've heard that sometimes it will just stop working at some point.
