Ok, thanks @Uisco! If I use this in my game I'll credit you. (I'll just use this as a prototype though.)
Also thanks for your UE4 tutorials! They're really helpful.
Sorry 😂
No, I mean like when I package a UE4 game, when you run it, the game will be a full screen window game. You know what I mean? And then it lags a little (like my Project Parkour game). It won't slow down your computer, I don't think.
Also sidenote here, I am going to be making assets for my game, especially modifying some assets from the web. I'll also make a credits txt file, is that fine?
Hi,
I have 2 questions to ask:
1. I don't really intend to make any assets for the game, I just want to do the coding. Is it okay if I don't make any assets, but just get them from Sketchfab (and of course, their license says free to use)?
2. Does it matter which mode the game is in? (for example: Third Person, First Person, etc.)
Thanks,
- C.B
Right, thanks. But I have 2 other questions...
1. But what if it's a game like an escape game, because you said an escape game counts as an adventure game, so if I make an escape room game, (but it's not point and click,) and the character is a ball kind of thing, so instead of walking you roll around, etc. Is that accepted as an adventure game?
2. What standard time does the jam end in?
EDIT: I'm not sure what you think, (but if you say it's not an adventure game, I won't go forward with this idea,) but to me, the ball game that I have in mind suits what Wikipedia says:
An adventure game is a video game in which the player assumes the role of a protagonist in an interactive story driven by exploration and puzzle-solving.
Except for the part where you said:
because it's the exact opposite of an Adventure Game (it's a physics based puzzle game)
But mine is not like Love Balls, where you have to draw a line to get them together....it's more like a third person escape room game, but instead of a character, it's a ball.
By an asset's showcase map I mean something like there is an asset pack and they make a nice enviroment map in the asset pack to showcase what their asset is used for.
Secondly, yes I do mean a short game. For the third one, I just realized just now that there's no levels in adventure games 🤣.
Also if you know UE4.25, do you know how to package and upload a game to itch? Thank you!
