You can also press P to pause it too (which is easier since it doesn't exist you out of full screen on web)

The bug is strange for edit2, but I was able to get around it by jumping on it and if that didn't work, I would hold up too.

Are you pressing ESC by any chance? That exits full screen mode

There are checkpoints as an option if you press the star icon and turn it on before you enter a level. Programming those respawns from the videos would be extremely if not impossible to do

That wasnt the point. Speedrun.com accepts runs that sre easily acceptable such as a clip from twitch or a youtube video. Downloading them isnt very convenient.

Youtube is risk free and if its a YouTube channel you don't want others to see or so, you can create a new one. I don't really understand this entirely but the Dailymotion website doesn't work for me.

Within a month, I believe there is going to be a massive update! 2 new levels should be introduced.

There are some settings you can tweek with to make the game easier such as infinite lives and checkpoints.

There should be a leader board for the fastest times on each level. Not like online but just posted in the descriptions for the fastest seen.
