The text can be changed but people make screenshots all the time and itch has probably versions saved including IP addresses.

ChatGPT says: Even if the competition is private, failing to deliver on a promised monetary prize could still be considered a breach of contract or fraud, depending on the specific circumstances. If the amount of the prize is relatively small, you may be able to file a lawsuit in small claims court. This is a less formal court process that can be more affordable and quicker than a traditional lawsuit.

It's so weird. You have nothing to gain but you risk someone might take legal actions. This is fraud, right?

it is sad right? that super generic user name and AI artwork should have been a warning...

is it just trolling or what else could drive someone doing stuff like this?

And Developer1453 was never seen again... :)

If anyone wants to challenge the developer in his own game, this is my Steam Friend Code: 241107062

(It would help tremendously to find out if the game works via Steam Remote Play)

Thanks for your feedback and thanks for hosting this jam!

I also have the problem that I don't always have someone there to test the multiplayer. I'm currently setting up the game for Steam and am ready for any volunteers to duel out via Steam Remote Play. Who dares?

Thanks for your feedback!

He is adorable 😍

sorry to hear that. in my case i think it was rather my fault because of a lack of javascript skills :)

so I just buried my jam entry. Playroom was much fun to mess with, felt like I was RIGHT THERE but then...NOPE. my scope was tiny and the concept was cute too. Another unfinished project joins the drawer collection!

i am curious to see if there is someone with JavaScript skills who would like to partner up to finish a game post-jam? you would have to get playroom working in playcanvas. I would do art, concept, game mechanics.

Lovely 😍

I love comment. Thanks for taking the time. Really great input and lots of good ideas.

When I do a next gameplay iteration I will "work" through your points and will definitely implement some.

thanks for your comment! that kind of feedback is exactly what I was looking for :)

thanks! how far did you make it? like about how many levels could you complete?

Great theme. But also difficult: every opposite I can think of would just be a really bad representative of that genre :)

Wow, thanks again! I have already starting to redo player movement and it will actually be a lot more Rocket League. I plan the strafing to be be really fluid because tanks can turn on its own axis.

My pitchline for the moment sums up as: "A zeldaesque Third-Person Shooter with swift tanks"

Thanks for taking the time. Great feedback.

Collision is giving me a bit of a headache... Not sure what I am doing wrong there. I will look into that.

Thanks again

So much great feedback coming together here! Thanks for the jam.  If anyone has a little time for my game I would appreciate that  a lot. Just having 5 ratings at the moment. I just recently did add a lot of story elements to it. Playthrough takes about 5 minutes: https://itch.io/jam/feedback-quest-4/rate/2057384

hythrain, i Just realized you did stream some games from the jam. Did you also stream Tank Therapy?

Thanks for your comment. i try to keep the therapeutic quality. Good point!

I am glad that my game had therapeutic success on so many levels for you. In fact, I believe that by watching your stream, the healing process has rubbed off on me as well. May I ask: can I edit down your stream and add subtitles? I would love to share some key moments on social media.

Many good points, thank you!

You are absolutely right about the music. The current music is just a placeholder - in fact, I forgot that I had music in the project :)

Then also very good observation with the pitch mechanics. I need to separate better if you aim at near or far targets.

It would be great if you could test the next versions. I will reach out to you when there is an update.

Greetings

Daniel

Thanks for you wonderful comment. That is giving me a lot to work with! What you hint at with wanting to go on an adventure is exactly the direction i am heading towards: an adventure game with shooting but also a lot of story and exploration.

I will later check out your game, too. Bye!

This is nice

i am open for ideas :) what other office related activities can you think of?

RPG Paper Maker community · Created a new topic Just wow :O

This is such a great tool. I have been toying around with it for some days and I am really impressed.

One idea for your roadmap: As you already have a web export and mouse input ready - you could also add support touch input from mobile devices.

thank you!

oh i guess the game doesn't work with AWSD then? :D

Hello!

(1 edit)

Great entry, congratulations! Great visuals and sound! Can I ask something technical: In my WebGL build I noticed that a bug occurs in the Firefox browser as soon as I lock the mouse. Basically the camera just starts spinning like crazy. So I'm wondering: did you use any dark magic to work around this? If you have no idea what I'm talking about: never mind. I'll figure it out :D

Thank you! The idea with the barrels came to me in the last hours of the Jam. I think they should become a central part of the mechanics. Would make it less repetititv

I enjoyed playing this a lot! Loved the precise controls.

This moment when you are suddenly ashamed of your own entry...

Still, congratulations, great entry! :D

Cool Idea. Cute Rocks :)

Nice idea and works well with the theme! It would certainly be easier to play if the camera did not rotate. The scream is intense. Wow! :D All in all: great entry!

This is REALLY great. It is surprising how quickly the mechanic becomes very intuitive.

Hey!

now i know what you mean :D it seems to be a bug in firefox

Great idea! As others have already pointed out: with some work on controls and camera this can be really addictive.
