YYYAAAASSSSS

Perhaps you can add an option to the game where you can toggle between the old design and the new? (For chapters 1 and 2 only of course, otherwise that would be WAY too much future workload for you). It seems like there are quite a few that became attached to the old art style and it seems a waste to throw out all of the work you've done so far as well.

Not to lie, but I would be one of those people who would be very happy to switch between either design. I love them both already even though the new ones aren't fully done yet haha!

Awww I quite liked the design of the old Ader, but you're right, the new design does look like it would better suit him in a comedy setting (I love the new design too btw, very cute). One minor thing though is the bottom left image of New Ader vs. Old Ader. The old Ader has a better design in that it presents a 'peeved and cheeky' emotion clearer than the new one. Maybe bring the eyebrows of the new Ader a bit lower? Haha.

As for Sep(?), she definitely looks better, I love it! Very bright look that helps to make her more youthful.

I actually only decided to download your game today because I wanted to play both chapters 1 and 2 at once (only found out through word-of-mouth how much you have progressed since I last looked). May I know as to when your new designs will be implemented into those chapters?

P.S. Is it a typo that it's Sep's arms that are a work in progress? Because I think her arms are fine. It's ADER'S arms that look rather large and thick considering his relative body size.

Thanks for reading!

You should support their Kickstarter! If you back them on their game tier within the first 24 hours, you get their previous game for free!

Awwww. This ending was very nice. "Happier" being the core word, it's definitely better than the other two endings but not sickly sweet and definitely still shows that she still has stuff to go through. Nice job with it Mr. Zetsubou :). Still have fingers crossed for an Eris route haha (she seems a lot more vulnerable than she lets on) but I'm happy that you're working on a Tix route as well.

Hmmm... There were a couple of instances, but the ones I remember semi-clearly were Rei's shouting face showing in the scenes where you first discover the underground facilities and Nidhogg's face near the end of the Drakan route. I think Lisha also had some moments but can't remember where in her route.

As for the ideas in the Steam discussion, I'm basically with everyone else in that Drakan and Lisha are the most viable options for any extension. This makes it even harder for a Tix route to show though because the Hunt route would have to be the canon one. Unless Sable was passing through pixie territory during a Hunt, having them meet is kinda hard and exactly the type of oh-so-convenient situation that I dislike. (Not hate per se, I wouldn't be too against it, but... yeah). As for Rei, I see no possible future. At all. Eth is almost as bad, but isn't a hopeless cause, but I don't see any action situations happening there. Sad because they made me laugh the most, but at least I still get to see them in the second year right? Right? Jorou... nah. That's gonna have to happen waaayyyyy past Sable's second year at Amadronia so she's not plausible either. Wow it's so hard to type this almost spoiler-free.

I also agree with waiting a year to see what happens first, but if/when you DO end up crowdfunding, I'll back it immediately. Assuming I get notified about it somehow lol. Best of luck to ya Zetsubou.

Edit: This review ended up being much longer than I thought haha.

Wow. I was completely blown away by this game. Absolutely amazing! I love all the characters and how they were written. This is a school/magic VN done right.

The main character is the type I like best. One who is disadvantaged compared to the other characters but is by no means weak. He's a human so compared to demi-humans, his magic reserves are low, but he's a smart cookie so he makes up for it. I like how the author has balanced his personality with being realistic and heroic (obviously depending on your choices) and he has some great sarcastic lines. I guess as a fellow shut-in, I just relate to him?

The novel starts off very light-hearted and comedy-centric but as the plot thickens, there is a very serious tone being followed about relationships and how they can be broken due to misconceptions or prejudice. Sometimes you take a break from this due to comedy but it is very well paced in my opinion.

The length of the story and the routes are very good for its price and is actually superior to some other VNs I've read. The art quality is amazing. Absolutely LOVE all 44 of the CGs. My favourite one is not only the last one I unlocked, but also the funniest one in my opinion. It's CG #10 - What You Wish For. If you're still on the fence about getting this game. Just do it for this one particular CG - you'll laugh your butt off.

All of the routes were well written and there some very thought provoking statements being said here that caught me off guard sometimes. My favourite for romance would be Drakan's with Lisha's coming in close second. As for comedy, it's definitely the Eth/Rei route. Can't tell much coz spoilers but wow. There are 3 people that I was expecting to get a route (Tix, Hel and Eris) but I am soooo glad Zetsubou did not give in and twist events to give them routes because it would have been very awkward given the situations in the game. That said, I would have also liked to see where he could have taken them if they became romantic interests but oh well. You can't have everything.

I'm just gonna have this paragraph here solely ranting about Jorou's route. Jorou's the one that really shocked me, I DID NOT expect anything like this. It was amazing in a dark way and that just makes it more memorable. *Minor spoiler* I am still not sure which one of her endings is meant to be the happy/good one and which one is the bad one. It is that complicated.

There are still a few minor issues with the novel but nothing game-breaking. For example, there are times when a character's portrait briefly flashes in the dialogue box when it's transitioning.

Zetsubou, if you're reading this, I really hope you make a Part 2 with these characters. There's still so much you could write about! I know I already typed about how the length of this is good, but I need MOAR.

In short, I love this game to bits and whoever's reading this should either have already bought the game or is now on their way to the Buy Now button above.

Thanks for reading!

Awwwww I wanted the game to be longer. I wanted to see them meet back up, confess to each other. Get married. Have kids etc. etc. Such a cute ship :) The message is very simple, but very inspiring too. Good game

Awwwww. February's so sweet! Wish more people like him existed lol. Now I'm too scared to see if there's a bad end haha. If you plan on doing any more work on this, having better transitions (the cafe scene to uni scene was a bit abrupt) would make the experience better. I would of course like more story, but short and sweet has its own charm so it's fine if you keep it this way.

If not, then good luck on other submissions! I like your character art. It's a nice 'warm' style. Perfect for this story, really.

Awww the other ending was so sweet! Haha I can't believe I got the bad ending on my first time. I am now fully satisfied :). I usually go for games in more of a fantasy setting, but this one I thoroughly enjoyed. Btw, is there a way to un-grey the extras button on the menu? I can't press on it.

May I ask if there are multiple endings to this? There were only 2-3 choices for dialogues in this entire game, but I hope there are. The characters were all very well written and fleshed out, making me annoyed and angry at times but also making me care for them in the end. The writing is very philosophical and has situations that I believe anyone who works can relate to. I just wish that their ending was on the sweeter side of bittersweet.

Will you guys be continuing with this storyline? Showing their futures would be nice. I just can't help but feel unsatisfied with the way it ended haha. Especially since I ended up shipping the two MCs.

Anyway, it's a very nice story and if this is in fact the game in its completed state, then I wish you guys all the best for any future submissions. You guys definitely have the talent :).

I just finished playing the demo and what an experience! The inner conflict shown by a deserter was easily seen and empathized with. Simply one of the best dystopian stories I've read and the best I've played as a game to date! I really hope this has at least 10 chapters haha. I wouldn't even mind paying more.

As for issues with the game, there are a few I noticed, but I only started scrutinizing these at Kaliningrad so I may have missed some from the Core etc.:

- Minor issues: Spelling mistakes. The quest page for "The Lost Girl" says that the girl's name is Nina, but according to dialogue, the girl's name is Mila. Next, Ivan's neighbour's mother (lol) says "...He must 'we' waiting..." at her house by the river. When we first meet Leonid, he says "Find 'my' at my place." Lastly, during the final cinematic, the Father General says "Then 'why' are you standing here for?!"

- Medium-Major issues: There are some instances when I choose the correct dialogue and the increased morale symbol shows up above my characters' heads. However, when I checked the values on the menu, the morale percentages remained unchanged. This happened with: Firstly, the talk with Lynn at Ivan's house. Secondly, after the completion of "The Lost Girl" quest, only Adair and Lynn's morale increased (intentional?). Lastly, the quest where I had to get the medicine for the baby in the church.

- Major issue (at least for me): There is no unequip button. There was a jacket I wanted to equip on Rourke, but I accidentally put it on Lynn (don't ask). Lynn had no other alternative armors so all I got was a buzz in response when I pressed on it.

It's nice to see that you guys implemented a sprinting button, but I still think it's a bit slow sorry...

In any case, I just LOVE this game to bits! Congratulations on making it this far, this is my most highly anticipated game this year!

Wow! Loved this game. It was short and sweet but left me wanting to play more :). Looking at the comments, I was very happy to see that you are making a sequel. Any update on that?

Hello! Thank you for creating such an amazing game. I haven't played it yet but I just know I'm gonna love it haha. I just bought it off humble bundle and I have a question... The description says the game is available DRM-free but I assume this is for the full version only? I don't mind playing the early-access stage of the game through steam, but would I have to re-buy the game if I wanted the DRM-free full version of the game?
