Amazing game, great art style, and variety - very impressive! I would’ve liked if the difference between enemies and ally critters were made clearer though.

Hi! Thanks for playing :3 The game is made completely in 2D - I implemented the line of sight using raycasting which would only detect collisions on certain layers. For the colliders, I didn’t make it the whole sprite, but simply the bottom section, to give a 3D effect when the view-field hit the object. I hope this explains it, but feel free to ask any questions you may have ^_^
~ Rift ~
A short stealth and action game made for a jam. We’d love for you to try it out (it’s available for Windows or on your browser) and give feedback.
You play as a character who is able to phase between dimensions and hide in rifts to avoid and defeat enemies, as he journeys through a runic dungeon. Approach stealthily by using your ability to avoid enemy sight or test your dodging mechanics as you weave around projectiles and kill enemies.
I’m glad you enjoyed the game! This is from my previous comment but here is why the game is related to the theme: “the main character’s skill set and mechanics are based around portals and dimensions. He has the ability to portal to different dimensions, hide in the rift and has a portal-style attack.” Hope this answers your question c:

Hi, thanks for the feedback and the follow! The game is related to the theme in the sense that the main character’s skill set and mechanics are based around portals and dimensions. He has the ability to portal to different dimensions, hide in the rift and has a portal-style attack. I’ll make sure to have a look at your game! :D
Hi syddhoff! Yep, you've found one of the glitches - unfortunately we didn't have time to add the 'ignore everything' ending completely, so we decided to remove it last minute. Therefore, when your 'score' was 0, it didn't know which scene to load. Would have been an easy enough mistake to fix - but a simple oversight :D
