Amazing game, great art style, and variety - very impressive! I would’ve liked if the difference between enemies and ally critters were made clearer though.

Thanks for the feedback!

Appreciate it!

Thanks! Wario-ware was a big inspiration for this game :)

Thanks! :)

Thanks for the feedback! Pseudorandomness would’ve definitely felt more “fair” than “true” randomness.

E.g. using pixellation shaders, custom render pipelines, scripts to modify the geometry of meshes etc

<3 :dorime:

Ooh interesting! I’ll have a look

Sure! I’ll check it out :D

*Hope you enjoy! *

You are a lone sentry. Fight oncoming waves of undead enemies by upgrading your sentry and stats.
Try your skill against 4 different difficulty levels!

Hi! Thanks for playing :3 The game is made completely in 2D - I implemented the line of sight using raycasting which would only detect collisions on certain layers. For the colliders, I didn’t make it the whole sprite, but simply the bottom section, to give a 3D effect when the view-field hit the object. I hope this explains it, but feel free to ask any questions you may have ^_^

Haha, you shouldn’t feel bad for skipping enemies! We wanted to reward stealthy and strategic players ;) Although I’m glad you had fun and we’ll take your suggestion into account ^_^

Thank you for your detailed review and feedback - we appreciate it! :3 We’ll make sure to keep these suggestions in mind for after the jam c:

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Balancing is definitely important, and with the time pressure, we left little time to adjust the final battle so some have found it difficult. It’s something we’ll keep in mind for future updates after the jam ^_^

Thanks for your comment! I used the A* path-finding algorithm for the enemy chase AI and the vigilance area should extend to the whole map actually, if you stay in the enemies’ line of sight - but since the flying enemy has a high speed, it is the most likely to keep chasing you and keep up you! :3

Haha! Yes, we made Beyond Eden for the Community Game Jam! I’m delighted that you’ve played it too - I appreciate the follow and your support ^_^ Thanks!

~ Rift ~

A short stealth and action game made for a jam. We’d love for you to try it out (it’s available for Windows or on your browser) and give feedback.

You play as a character who is able to phase between dimensions and hide in rifts to avoid and defeat enemies, as he journeys through a runic dungeon. Approach stealthily by using your ability to avoid enemy sight or test your dodging mechanics as you weave around projectiles and kill enemies.

Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll definitely keep that in mind when working on the game after the jam :D

Nice! Pacifist run ;)

I’m glad you enjoyed the game! This is from my previous comment but here is why the game is related to the theme: “the main character’s skill set and mechanics are based around portals and dimensions. He has the ability to portal to different dimensions, hide in the rift and has a portal-style attack.” Hope this answers your question c:

Thanks! You’re absolutely right the rift is one aspect of the theme - as well as his portal ability and attack :3

Thanks for playing! This is from my previous comment but here is why the game is related to the theme: “the main character’s skill set and mechanics are based around portals and dimensions. He has the ability to portal to different dimensions, hide in the rift and has a portal-style attack.” Hope that clears things up! ^_^

Hi, thanks for the feedback and the follow! The game is related to the theme in the sense that the main character’s skill set and mechanics are based around portals and dimensions. He has the ability to portal to different dimensions, hide in the rift and has a portal-style attack. I’ll make sure to have a look at your game! :D

Thanks for completing the game! Love the video you made :D

Thank you for your detailed and helpful feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed the first few levels of the game - I would have to agree about the boss room - it was indeed quite rushed due to the time pressure! We’ll definitely tweak and balance the game after the jam :D

Thanks! :3

Thanks for playing :3

Thanks for your comment! I’m happy you enjoyed it :D

Thanks for the feedback - we’re glad you enjoyed :3

Thanks for playing! It should be fixed now and we hope that you’ll give our game another try :D

Wow, nice vid! Thank you so much for playing and finding those endings! We appreciate it alot!

Hi syddhoff! Yep, you've found one of the glitches - unfortunately we didn't have time to add the 'ignore everything' ending completely, so we decided to remove it last minute. Therefore, when your 'score' was 0, it didn't know which scene to load. Would have been an easy enough mistake to fix - but a simple oversight :D

Thank you for your feedback! We will definitely add full keyboard controls to the game after the jam, and develop the story/concept. :D

I'm so glad you liked our game! We will make sure we fix the sound issues and expand the game after the jam :D Thank you for playing!

Thank you for your kind feedback! We appreciate it alot :D

Thanks :3
