Ouch you're definitely right, it seems that broke during the last few hours of the jam, i hope it was still enjoyable nonetheless and thank you for playing!

Really good entry!
Found a bug at the very beginning, pressing shift+ctrl a few times while on the first interactable launched me into orbit!
I like the idea of moving things on the Z axis and only having a slice visible at a time, cool stuff.

For SFX you can check out https://www.bfxr.net/.
It produces old school blips and bloops with ease, helps a lot!
There are a few alternatives but i'm not familiar with them, glhf! :)

Thank you for playing, glad you liked it! <3

Glad you liked it! :D

Heyo!

I appreciate the dialogue and the graphics, good work there! I really appreciate that the player casts a shadow below them.

I've found interacting with things can be finnicky at times, maybe the range is a bit too short?

Only major problem is that there's no audio, that aside i think it's a solid entry, especially considering you were alone and it was your first jam!

It's not as fancy, but hopefully it's still cool enough! x)

Sure, i'll check yours! :)

Indeed there's a build with the option to punch without using the mouse in the description if you feel like trying it! :)

Initially we wanted to have enemies punch-able but we couldn't make it work since it'd trivialize most of the levels.

That level is done by punching the lever a number of times (3 is enough) and then rewinding twice as you go up. It's also possible to skip levels in the main menu (there's teleporters for each level!). I'd heavily suggest looking at the last one (9th level) since it may or may not be an epic boss fight! :D

That said, thank you a lot for checking the game out, i'm glad you found it good! <3

(sorry for the double reply)

I've just added a link to an updated version of the game.

It adds punching without mouse aiming and controller support, you can check it up [here]. ;)

I've just added J to punch forward and K as an alternate keybind to rewind alongside a small bugfix. It'll be uploaded as soon as the voting period ends!

It sure is a jojo reference, hah! Ty for playing the game, i'm glad you liked it!

Aiming with the mouse was added for all cases where you want to destroy a wall you're not facing towards, which happens surprisingly often.

The plan is to add a keybind to punch forward, while keeping the mouse movement. I'm pondering whether to use E (since it's already a keybind) or another key entirely (which is better, but could get confusing).

There will be a small post-jam update to address a bug someone found and the controls. :)

Heyo thank you for checking the game out, i'm really glad you enjoyed it so much! <3

More background detail is a fair point! We left it a bit bare, in hindsight a few suble textures for the floor wouldn't have been a bad idea. :)

Thank you for pointing out that bug, i completely missed it!

*edit*

This bug has been fixed in the updated version, available [here]. ;)

I liked it!
It felt quite nice to have the puzzles click and i really liked the added powers about halfway through the game, solid entry!

I'll make sure to add more input options next jam! :)

Fair point regarding controls, we ended up having very few cases where you'd not want to punch in the direction you're moving in, having a button to punch forward would've been a neat addition, i didn't consider it!

Glad you liked it, if the game's too hard at times there's the option to skip levels in the main menu! :)
