You can use any game engine you like. Most game engines should have support for HTTP GET requests and tutorials on how to do them (which is what you need for this jam).

Hi, we do not have strict limits right now. Feel free to call the API route as often as once every 5-6 seconds (you will just identical responses in a smaller time frame) or less often based on your game's needs. Don't worry about optimizing your API calls.
By the way, it's great that your are learning to use APIs. It's an excellent skill to have. If you need help or have any technical questions I am here to help. Feel free to let me know what programming language and/or engine you are using and I may be able to give you some tips.

I played against myself and on the same machine and the networking seemed to work.
The mechanics of pushing and pulling are easy to understand and give the potential for a lot of fun.
The game has a very cool art style and nice animations, especially going up the tower. I like that I can over the grass and flowers to flatten them - a nice touch.
The character falling to his back and getting stuck happens when very close to the edge. Other than that the game seems to be working well! Just be careful about players joining with the same name. Great work!
Excellent platformer and I can see the potential for speedrunning.
I noticed that some segments were designed in such a way that they can be beaten with multiple paths and some are riskier but potentially faster. The mechanics were very clear and the visuals support them very well as they give feedback on when I can and cannot dash and when I am white (and can climb) or black and can go through the balls. Excellent use of animations, particles and sound effects, too.
Great work!
