I love your concept. I would maybe add the controls to switch areas at the bottom of the screen in the beginning, because while I read the description, some people may not and could not know how to proceed. I really like that you have to figure out what people want, so if you work on this further, I would add more items and more vague requests, so you need to think more about what to serve people. Also being able to give anyone anything would give the game stakes!

Fun game, and I have a few suggestions for you for either an updated version of this project or for your future endeavors: I like that the game has no text, it's a cool stylistic choice, but I wish there was some visual indication in the upgrade screen of what the upgrades did. If not words, maybe revising the sprites to show an action shot of what they do (e.g., magnet could have DNA surrounding it with arrows, indicating it attracts them from further away).
Also, I would consider adding an enemy limit, or despawning some after a while, because the game is very difficult with infinite spawning, and my game was slowing down after a while.
I like your theme, and I'd love to see what you do with it down the line!
I really like this idea; having the objects get bigger meant I was trying different layouts every restart. I would add a visible grid for players to use, though, so it's easier to see where things could fit. Without knowing what the actual sizes of the objects are (since I think some are a little misaligned with their sprites), it was tough to plan ahead. That being said, I like it!
