Thanks for your comment. I’m glad that you like Bitlogic. It was a work of four people. A team project. About Flashback port, It would be a great pleasure to do it. If you can find some awesome pixel artist (you maybe?), I will be an awesome MSX coder ^ _ ^ . MSX2 Video Graphics will be perfect for that port. I have a nice tool to create awesome sprites. Please take a look ^ _ ^ https://jamque.itch.io/sev9938-sprite-editor-for-msx2

Ja podeu començar a pensar i pensar…comença el Game Design !

Nice remember to Fury of Furries :-)

Project Page

There are several options in the MSX scene to create the necessary sprites for homebrew videogames, but in all the possible options we tried, we couldn’t find any that offered us to mount sprites in overlapping to see the OR effect (palette color mixing). The Video Display Processor (VDP) V9938 chip of MSX2 computers can do this special effect.

Sprites for MSX2 VDP have 1 color only in each line. With the OR effect, you can put more than one color when sprites are overlapped. With SEV9938 you see this effect in real time with testing on a real MSX. On the screenshot above, you can see the main character from Stan, the dreamer for MSX2 built with 3 sprites overlapped using SEV9938 Sprite Editor.

This editor is PC computers. And published demo is for Windows. But its code, written in C++ and using handful libraries as DearImGui and SDL, can be compiled in Linux too.

It’s still in beta, but you can download a demo. Please take a look in SEV9938 itch.io page.

I’m looking for MSX2 graphic artists beta testers. Do you want to be one? Please contact me here or on twitter: @jamqueTPM.

Conozco Cobra’s arc y otras aventuras conversacionales.

Thx so much for your post. I’m glad that you enjoy it.

Did you complete the game? ^_^ I hope you do it. Your brain gonna crash hehehe.

Enjoy and love videogames.

Thxs again.

Thx for your post. I’m glad that Bitlogic like you ^_^.

About no junping. It’s a gameplay design. I want to make a puzzle platform game where you must think where and when you must fall. When I design this make I have in mind three games: Phantomas 2, Flashback and StarQuake. In this last game, main character can jump. Another game without jump option and that it is a puzzle is Captain Toad, and I love it.

Follow me, cause soon, this summer, I release the PC version of Bitlogic, that a year ago was in Steam and Nintendo Switch avaliable.

So Nice! I like it. Nice coding and sound!

I’m in love with this Game!

No cal.

Thank you for your comment Reign.
Our first idea was that the gameplay be a metaphor to discover what your true gender and feelings. First of all pieces have a color, a random color and then after a specific time, they will be what they are. If you take the piece with the right mouse button and move near other piece that it like, its time goes fast and it discovers the flag faster.
Maybe you are right to show the flags at all times in order to be a good puzzle game.
We will continue to develop Gendertrix and trying your suggest. :)

Hello everyone !

I'm Ralph (Rafel in Catalan language);) and I'm from Barcelona. I'm programmer. I make games in assembler in my spare time for MSX computers and I has released a couple of game in cartridge physical format. Nowadays, I'm teacher in game programming and I make games for PC in OXiAB Games Studio. I'm a Nintendo developer too as third party.

I write code in C++ always, without using any kind of third party engine. I have enough code done for make a 2D videogame. And in future I will try to integrate 3D to my code with OpenGL but no for this Rainbow GameJam. ;)

This is my second GameJam that I do in my life. Usually I don't like to produce games quickly because I think a good work needs time to mature and to become a good game. But In my last experience I saw some good results for make a game from our own code quickly. Maybe I can say that this code is like a little engine, hehe.

Well emm, I will try to do my best and to build a good team to work together.

Nice to meet you.

So beautiful! I need more game like that.
