Definitely, I ran out of time and had to put together the map the last day 😂

Objectives: find your friends and defeat the machine!
Hint: there are multiple dams, some bigger than others, that may require the help of more friends!
Game controls (keyboard & mouse + controller):

Known bugs: sometimes your friend's AI will just not work. This shouldn't be a problem, but you can always restart the game.

Doesn't really break the game because that door is a one-way luckily!

It just should unload when you cross the next door, this room is supposed to be the "buffer room", I just didn't think much when i placed the unload trigger hahah

We found this bug like 5 minutes after submitting 😅 when you cross this door and unload the previous zone you can just see space behind that door instead of the room you were just in...

Thanks you very much! We prioritized having simple mechanics to be able to polish the game as much as possible, at least we tried!

Thank you very much for your feedback! In the end we didn't really get to properly balance some parts of the game so I get what you are saying 😅

Cool concept! Love the courage to go for procedural generation in a game jam, I had a similar idea for a spreading entity in our game but ended up going with manually placed meshes. Love both the spreading and room generation implementation :)

Really unique concept beautifuly executed, we had a similar game premise also using a flashlight to stop a dark entity, and I love to see such different results!

Really cute game with a unique mechanic. loved the art and music!

Really fun concept and stunning art, music and UI, would love to see it in a full-scale game!

Fun game with interesting visuals, I really liked the concept! :)

Well, I think you really managed to make the music justice with the game! One of my first ideas was on the same line, only with some kind of mushroom spores. Ended up in a very different direction but i'm happy to see a similar idea so well polished :)

I really enjoyed being a part of this jam, it was everyone's first jam in our team, but we managed to keep it pretty within scope (had to make the game shorter as time run out on us), we manged to polish the game as much as we could with the time constraints and we realy worked well as a team!
If you want to check out our game, it's a space horror game set on an abandoned space station, with a strong focus on atmosphere and rewarding mechanics!

This was our whole team's first game jam, but we had previously worked a few months in a studio together (that's how we met!), so we all had at least some prior production experience and had worked together before. Although we tried to keep the scope small we really had to push it the last 2 days to  have a finished game, but we were really happy with the final result, even if it ended up being shorter than we had intended!

We didn't really have a proper level until the last few days, so we didn't get external feedback on the game on time, but we made sure to make early stress test builds (10x the amount of enemies there would realisticaly be) and trying it on different machines to check performance and compatibility!

We were a team of 5, personally I worked 4-6h a day, a bit more the few first and last days.  I also work in game dev full time so it has been a few pretty  intense days. I worked as a technical artist (shaders, tool and system definitions, setting up asset pipelines, post-processing, lighting), made the textures and did a bit of art directing.  You can check it out here!

Hi! My team and I made Onboard, a brief first person space horror with a strong focus on creating a strong atmosphere and rewarding mechanics.  You wake up from cryogenic sleep in a seemingly unhabited space station, but quickly find out you are not alone...

Go play it if you want to check it out!
