  • This game is simply good. Not many issues, besides that upon dying if your light is flickering it stays flickering and is hard to tell if your light is on or off. Besides that, I ran into no issues at all. I really enjoyed the way the entity spreads and that to fight it off involved the light. Reminded me of Alan Wake with a little bit of Visceral cleanup detail/Powerwash simulator with how satisfying it is watching it go away. The infection mechanic actually leads to tense moments, especially with the final room.

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?

Tell us about your game!
A game set in an abandoned space station where the player has to escape from an unkown entity that spreads through the ship. Armed only with a UV light, the player must keep the contagion at bay and try to escape.
The game is based around the growth and bun mechanic, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and retro PSX style graphics.
It's controled with WASD + mouse, E to interact, Q to heal and left click to turn on/off the flashlight.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?

Very impressive, specially on the visuals. The setting reminded me of Signalis. Although it took me 3 tries to complete, I wish it would be a little longer.

I also have to mention the work behind the GDD, which defines the game in a very clear way with a great balance between text and diagrams.

Congratulations on your great work!

Wow, looks like we've had very similar core ideas, but your game is so polished, it's very impressive!

The visuals are amazing, especially the lighting and all the environmental effects, sound effects are great, level design is on point, I love everything about this game!

Best of luck in the future developments and I'll be following your updates

Thanks you very much! We prioritized having simple mechanics to be able to polish the game as much as possible, at least we tried!

Wow visuals and atmosphere are amazing. All the care, planning, and hard work to make this game look and feel the way you wanted come through and I was immediately immersed and impressed. The only mechanic I struggled with was understanding how much damage you would take by being in an area - it seemed like just having the entity anywhere nearby would do damage and it spreads much faster than I can purge it, even when blasting it full time. But otherwise, I just spent the whole game enjoying myself, wishing there was more, and being jealous of your shader skills.

Thank you very much for your feedback! In the end we didn't really get to properly balance some parts of the game so I get what you are saying 😅

wow this game right here is an example of quality and hard work. Guys this game is awesome, the only thing bad is that this game was too short damn, I wish it would be longer. It has so much potential, its incredible. Very good job

This game, though somewhat brief, holds tremendous promise. Super recommended!

The atmosphere is sublime, particularly because of its exceptional lighting. The low-poly/PSX style works great for the overall experience.

The UI has a surprising level of dedication and attention to detail. In the context of a game jam, it's noteworthy that there are very few bugs to be found.

The level design is well-made and functional. The mechanics are very well introduced and can be understood easily. The light mechanic, while not revolutionary, is executed correctly and holds a lot of potential for future puzzles and levels.

The game is very immersive and tense, thanks to the sound and design of the spreading organism. The high level of polish demonstrates the devs' capabilities, truly deserving recognition. Hopefully, this game can be expanded a bit more, as its current state is undeniably impressive. Well done!

Incredible work on the atmosphere and sound - well made game!

Game Jams usually bring good projects to light. Sometimes, I am very invested in the story, sometimes amazed by the design and mechanics, although, rarely do I get excited with the project such as this - raw, ambiguous, tense and just straight forward. Everything made me super immersed. Loved the overall storytelling as well and I can't wait for the update, if the game gets one after the jam - fantastic!

Best of luck with the game jam and future developments.  (I am posting this here as well, just in case)
