Howdy, folks! I just published my entry to the game jam:

https://jayafrica.itch.io/hightider

Far from the diceless storytelling game that started it all, this version is deep fried and crunchy. I dubbed my new system the CALTROP ENGINE, a Frankensteinian mash-up of the old West End Games D6 system, Free League's Year Zero Engine, and 4th Ed. D&D.

It's my first effort at writing a whole RPG and I'm excited to share it in its unplaytested glory to the world. If you try it and have constructive gameplay feedback, I would greatly appreciate it and will give you credit as a playtester!

Good question. I'm new to this too and will be submitting my entry without playtesting, which I hope is okay to do.

I enjoyed reading your game! Can't wait to see the completed version.

Going down to the wire is how lots of creative work happens ;) I'm close to finishing my game, but it's likely going to be tight on the deadline as well. Try to come up with a timeline to follow and milestones to hit between now and the deadline. That might help get you to the finish line. Your can make it!

Just checked it out. It looks and reads great! Seems like it plays nice and quick. The illustrations are top-notch. Very well done!!!
