The short answer is no; the longer version involves you getting Xcode, RenPy and a decompiler for the same, afaik. You’d have to set up a developer account and recompile it for yourself. That said the last iPhone I had was the 4s, and the last Mac I drove daily was running 10.9 at the end of its life, so YMWV.

Further tip: If you’re ok with working with system-style files, you can create your own desktop entry and have it available in the menu, complete with icon: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Desktop_entries#File_example

To follow up with, Ghryst’s comment, if you’re ok with using the Terminal app, macOS “.app files” are really just specialized folders, so you can use command-line tools like rsync to update all the newer files. I’d only recommend it if you’re still having trouble with the update.

Remember, macOS is built on top of an offshoot of FreeBSD, so many of the tools for it also work for your Mac.
