Ease of build would be my guess as well. This is part of the reason we decided to try something different.

Great game! Love the animations, especially the dying animation. I am not skilled enough to climb very far. My wish would be that the character is a little less slippery. But that said, this is great work!

We did not think about the faux Cyrillic being hard to read for native readers of the alphabet. The font has been changed to something hopefully more legible.
