Hi! I'm new to the gamejam world in general--apologies if this has been asked before, but:

What is the spirit/culture of how much music we might make in this jam? Is the three minute more of a general floor and the maximum is unlimited? I guess what I'd like to know, what is a good time frame that isn't too exhaustive? I'm thinking about a concept and it might call for ten minutes, for example. Would that be too much? I understand there is a wide-range of experience and, as far as composers, we all have our own strengths/weaknesses in terms of length and quality which we wrestle with uniquely.

I'm Jake, in the US, 31, new to the games industry, but have been a composer for around 10 years --love Hollow Knight's soundtrack, i compose melancholy/mood music. I work in Ableton Live and Max for audio FX and music. I love the idea of working in 8-bit style or more sophisticated. Would love to work with you! Here's a sample of my work:

Hi everyone -- I'm a composer with ten years of experience. I got my PhD in music composition and have touched most genres and mediums (film, classical, lo-fi, electronic, computer-interactive). Looking for anyone who might be willing to take me on as a newbie in the indie scene.  Thank you for your consideration!

Here are some tracks I've composed over the years:

I've written a collection of lullabies for my kiddos on Instagram and you can check out all 12 on my website (https://jakewritesmusic.com/lullabies):
