Very creative concept. It was fun enough that I ended up playing to the end. I just want to share a bug I found. I noticed that energy balls could be knocked out of bounds. So I tested hitting planets around and managed to get a couple of them to go out of bounds as well. This probably won't happen to most people (since the planets have to be moving fairly fast), but you might be able to easily fix this by setting the "Collision Detection" to "Continuous" on the Rigidbody for the planets.

Thank-you for not wasting my time in the beginning! I was able to get right into the game and was immediately hooked in by those solid controls and shooting mechanics. Both my partner and I played through the entire game because we were actually having fun playing it. My only major gripe is that the backing track sounds horrible. Maybe it was just buggy or something, but I feel like any royalty-free space/ambience track would have been better. Also, the evolve theme didn't feel very strong to me.

Well done! After trying out around 10 games, this is my favourite game this jam.

Intro is way too long.
