I'm also a game developer, and I have a special fondness for the itch platform. I often spend time on this website searching for the resources I need, and I don't mind delving into the lesser-ranked ones. But the prerequisite is that these resources should at least be searchable on the website. My resource pack has been waiting for at least three months without any feedback. Whether it's been approved or rejected, or if there are any improvements needed, I should at least receive a clear response.
I didn't upload the resources to seek much profit, nor do I want to spend time promoting them. I don't rely on this for a living; I just want to share my resources. The original intention of charging is simply to ensure that these resources reach those who truly need them.
That's all. My issue has been resolved, thank you for your responses.
I have also read the content of that article. If it's said that AI assets are not up to standard, I can find many of them on the website with extremely brief descriptions, and they appear on the "Newest" list without needing review. However, when I tried to publish my own resource pack, I was stuck in endless waiting with neither notification nor feedback. Sending emails to customer service also went unanswered. I was at my wits' end before finding the community and discovering the quickest solution, which is to post on the community forum to get your attention, and the issue usually gets resolved quickly.
I am sure I have read this post, but unfortunately, I didn't find the information I needed. In the sorting of the "Newest" list, all items are ranked based on their publication time. I can't help but wonder if simply by sharing enough links within minutes or even seconds, projects can quickly appear in the "Newest" list. For instance, I noticed a project named https://project-vr.itch.io/project-vr, which was only published for a few dozen seconds when I checked, yet it was already listed in the "Newest" section.
I would like to know specifically how many days "a few days" refers to, is it a week or a month? I need a definitive deadline for a response so that I don't have to wait indefinitely. Just like my two old asset packs, which have been waiting for a full three months without any notification on their progress. I don't know what steps I need to take to ensure my asset packs appear normally at the top of the "Newest" list like others' do upon release. Worse still, some of my old asset packs have already been sold, but they still cannot be found through search.
I recently released new game assets, but several days have passed and they still haven't appeared in the search results. Additionally, I've noticed that two game asset packs I released three months ago are experiencing the same issue. I tried contacting customer support via email a few days ago, but unfortunately, I haven't received a reply yet. May I ask how I can effectively resolve this dilemma?
I am confident that I have conducted a thorough self-check following the guidelines on the website at https://itch.io/docs/creators/getting-indexed.
