Haha thanks! Starcraft had hilarious dialogues as well. Especially when clicking way too many times on units :D
Also big thanks for playing the jam games! That was super helpful and fun to watch :)

I’ve never played something like “Elemeny” before that’s for sure :)

It certainly was interesting to see what kind of interactions were possible in this big sandbox. I even managed to make it rain red giant crosses! I still wonder whether it was intended of if I angered the mighty gods above for combining a modest spoonful of dynamite with a truckload of fireworks ^^. Water, grass, and fire were also interesting with nice visual effects. Music is good too and relaxing! It lacks some sound effects to convey the feeling of things burning or water being poured for instance but I guess that’s not top priority in a Jam :)

However I still don’t understand what we are supposed to do with these bouncing blocks. Also the element menu got stuck outside my screen quite a few times. Oh and it wasn’t really clear to me that we were able to move around at first. I was too eager to jump right into the game without having a look at the readme.txt before x)

Congratulations for participating in the Jam!

If it can be of any help here's the error I had in the logs when the game kept crashing:
System.Exception: UPnP could not forward ANY port in the 12346-12356 range at TheCheaps.NetworkClient..ctor(IPAddress ip, Int32 server_port, Boolean use_upnp) in /home/runner/work/MGJam2021/MGJam2021/Code/TheCheaps/NetworkClient.cs:line 69

Well done for the Jam! So I played The Cheap$ with two of my friends and we had a blast rushing our objectives, dashing everywhere, and throwing garbage all over the place :D
The only bug we encountered was that the game crashed on my PC when joining a session. Restarting my PC stopped that from happening somehow.

This “frantic button mashing confusion” kind of gameplay is perfect. Graphics and audio are solid. I love it! Do you plan to continue working on the game? Adding levels for instance? In any case that’s a game I’ll keep somewhere in case me and my friends want to have a quick fun time ^^

Ah ok I see. Well that's one way to interpret the theme :)

Wow "Wasteland Tactics" looks gorgeous! The gameplay is awesome! When I click on “Music” it even opens youtube for me. Like “Go find some musics on your own! Do I have to do everything here!?”
I love it :D

I was dangerously close to "No Budget at all" more than once but I managed to clear all the outposts on my first try. I’m a bit proud of myself ^^

Well done!

Hello, congratulations participating in the Jam! ShugarShuffle is super polished. Graphics and audio are more than well done. As for gameplay it's a classic and it works great. Well ok the game crashed on me once but I was frantically clicking everywhere like a madman so it is more my fault than anything else :)

However I don’t see a lot of connections with the main theme. Is it the fact that we can buy items (of mass destruction)?

I was so afraid this game would feel, at most, bland. It's so reassuring to hear that it can be “charming” or “sweet” to some people!

But also do not hesitate to let me know if things could be improved :)

Wow! Even if the game is not super polished it's still impressive. the game already has a strong, well defined visual identity. And my first time throwing grenades I was like “hell yeah humvee goes boom” x)

I can’t tell if it’s 2D or 3D… a bit of both I guess. In any case well done participating in the jam!

Hi and well done creating Scrapyard! I managed to get the last weapon and THAT. WAS. TENSE. Mowing down hordes of enemies with that last weapon is so satisfying. By the way are the rooms procedurally generated? Anyway, I had a really, honest, good time! The only major remark I would have is that shots are not properly aligned with the cursor. Given that I’m not the best at that kind of game my experience was a bit maddening at times ^^’
My other remarks are nothing more than little nitpicks but I would like to list some anyway because the game FEELS good and I like it :D
- No feedback when getting hit. It’s a bit confusing.
- Third weapon was a bit disappointing for me. I avoided it entirely in my subsequent playthroughs.
- I once had to restart because of a room without exit (is that intended? Maybe the game tried to spawn the exit at the entrance location?)
- Enemies are sometimes dangerously close to the entrance.
- I clicked outside of the game window way too many times but that’s on me :P

Hello! Well done for finish the Jam. I knew I was bad with money but this game hammered it home ^^

Messing around with the editor, creating coins everywhere, coins in walls, coins in geometry, coins in death zones, coins in coins, and watching chaos unfold was fun x)

Apart from that – and ignoring my evil experiments in the editor – physics in “Look after the pennies” feels good. I’m not a fan of the pink background and the game lacks one or two really well thought out levels to stand out but it’s a nice little game! Too bad there are no sound effects for coins bouncing everywhere. This would have greatly improved my evil experiments ;)

There are other game modes in addition to racing! I almost missed that :o
It is in the “Play” menu after beating the race mode.
Apart from that well done! I’ve found Super Monkey Bathtub Racing fun and I bet it would be well suited to a multiplayer mode :)
Also good job on the AI. It’s really well balanced. Did you try adding some sound effects? Maybe it could give an even goofier feel. Especially when bouncing all over the track.

And theme is completely ok ^^. Beyond “Low-budget”, and up to “carefully crafted high-end blindness inducing art”.

Sadly now I’m blind.

P.S. Love the “Settings”. I’m jealous ^^

Congratulations for participating in the Jam. I can say that these 5 seconds of good gameplay almost went up to at least a full minute in my case :P
I love the art and the mood that comes out of this "experience". Music is nice and spot on. To bad it doesn’t loop properly. Maybe somehow it contributes to the gloomy/melancholic feeling :)
It is simple but with a personality. Also can we move the files around? I tried so many things to move them... in any case well done!

Hello and congratulations for finish the Jam :)
Here are my quick thoughts on Alien Exterminator.
Pros:
- I had fun!
- Gamepad support. Yay!
- And the game feels good.
- The blend of 2D/3D is really interesting.

Cons:
- Dear journal. I've found no escape out of the game. Tell my family I love them.
- Sadly fullscreen is not centered on my monitor (1920*1080).
- The menu and icons can be confusing... at least for me (which is not saying much).

Apparently it can be played with VR. I would have loved to test that. In any case well done. All in all I had a rather raw but fun time ^^
My high-score is in the page comments. Game is on :)

My high-score: 22!
Can anybody do better? :)
