No, not the evil plushie. Though its HP is different to stop other enemies from spawning, and though rare. The Evil Plushie has a bit of a rage state where it speeds up after taking enough damage... Iirc anyway, it never really happened with me but I've heard from others it had

As far as I'm aware, I needed the Seer to specifically show up in order to achieve the "Prove Your Worth" Achievement. After that, I went to floor 11, reached a treasure room, and used to drill to dig as far as I could north (On Hardcore with the challenge statues active), then after reaching a hidden area with those conditions met. I got the achievement and the best reward you could ever get in the game that'll stay permanent (So long as you cleared a floor after getting the reward for completing that achievement)
It is the large monster with the white beaming eyes and huge dark blue claws that descends on you.
The hooded figure is the seer with the black & red robes with the red eyes that you sometimes and see in paintings. However, he only shows up in Dilapidated Halls, and has a rare chance in doing so. (He kills the music and appears for a split second when he shows up. If the music is killed and you hear an evil laugh. That means the Seer has appeared)
You don't have to be in hardcore just to have either the Seer or It appear. If you just want the "Had an unpleasant encounter" achievement, all you need to do is Encounter "It" at least once in Dilapidated Halls (You can also see a painting of "It" while you're in the halls, this is just as a way to make it easier to see what "It" looks like)
However, if you want the "Prove Your Worth" achievement. You'll need the Seer to appear in Dilapidated Halls on Hardcore with all 3 of the challenge statues active (No cheat statues active), You'll also need the drill (Maxed with durability btw) by the time you encounter the Seer for the first time (Don't close the game if you encounter the Seer otherwise you'll have to have a chance to encounter him again)
I found out how, and I got it. Though its very difficult to do so. All you need, is a new run in Hardcore + Save Deletion + All three challenge statues activated + The Drill. (Make sure your drill is maximum durability or close to that. Because otherwise you're kind of screwed)
Make sure you make it to Dilapidated Halls and encounter the hooded figure at least once (You can reload the game if needed but DON'T close out of the game afterwards).
Once that is checked off, head to floor 11 in the Halls (Works for any hall but the first one is the easiest) and once you reach a treasure room (Typically to find the key or compass), continue to drill north as far as you can until you reach... the room... Afterwards, you get the sword.
I'm trying my hardest to achieve the "Prove Your Worth" achievement but for whatever reason no matter what I do I just can't seem to get it.
I already have all the conditions set to get it too. Hardcore + Save Deletion + All 3 Challenges active at once (Glass Cannon, Harder Struggling, and Horde Attack) + the Drill. (I presume its required given what I've been told with some vague hints)
But no matter what I do or how many walls I drill into, in the Dilapidated Halls. I can never seem to reach this place I shouldn't have been... There was one instance where an evil japes appeared but Idk how rare that is or if has anything to do with this place. Can someone please help me? I'm all out of options and leads of what to do
Ah, I was wondering how I even unlocked those challenge statues in the first place. I thought it had to do with defeating & devouring evil plushie.
Btw, there was someone making a youtube video receiving a sword weapon from the Horde Attack challenge. It swung against the ghosts and even charged up to create a violent explosion. How do you even get that blade?
Noticed after unlocking the "Thousandarie" achievement a statues outside of the mansion appeared who would give me 1,000,000 at the start of a run appeared. And that got me wondering if there was 2 more cheat statues to be unlocked. If anyone knows the conditions to unlock the other two cheat statues, could you please share your knowledge?
OH! And before I forget, this enemy can't damage you but can still kill you if you stay inside it for too long. If you have the Endosomatic Heart, you can feed it and add it to the Fed part of the Ghostiary. Make sure you do both that and eat it when you encounter it if you were to encounter two of them! It may have a chance in appearing in Overgrowth during a Blackout as well.
Update. I have and I presume am the first to find one of the two secret achievements. That being "Had an unpleasant encounter...". Ngl, its actually got me scared. Tried to take a screenshot before that monster of dark force jumpscared me and forced me into the previous room but I wasn't fast enough. But for some strange reason as soon as I cleared the room where it happened, it happened twice in a row in the room soon after it.
If it spawns in the Overgrowth and Dilapidated Halls. Then you're looking for the Bloboomi. https://charcuteriedev.com/Pages/Ghosts/Gallery/Bloboomi
You're gonna have an easier time trying to get to spawn in Overgrowth, just gotta be lucky. And if you don't just go back to the menu of the game and try again.
Please don't try to get to spawn in Dilapidated Halls. It has a 1 and 4096 chance to spawn there, I only got so lucky to get it spawn on random luck alongside that scary monster that jumpscares you randomly, which gives you one of the two secret achievements
Mirrim can be found in the Observatory, Funhouse and the Dilapidated Halls. Though in both she has a 1 in 256 chance to spawn. So be ready to face her. Idk if she can be fed or eaten though since she's the only one I can't play with in the Ghostiary yet despite eating and feeding every other ghost there
Though one thing I have noticed during the playroom is that if you let Honeygast eat you and not struggle for a bit. The heart that would allow you to befriend ghost and add them to the "Fed" part of the ghostiary appears after long enough. Though Idk if that would count with the Honeygast. Same happened with Mitsuro (I presume the same is Mirrim though Idk if she or Mituro can be eaten)
Its one of the most dangerous bosses around. But it can be easy to handle. You'd want to flash both Honeygast and Mitsuro at the same time to prevent them both from targeting you at the same time. Flashing the Honeygast also prevents him from constantly spawning the Waboomi to overwhelm you. If they do spawn, take them down immediately before then returning your gaze at the bosses. After Mitsuro is taken care of, the boss will begin to spawn flowers and Spookobolds. If the later spawns then let go of the Honeygast and deal with the Spookobolds first. As for the former, the Honeygast will try to pull you into the flowers to sun you as you're siphoning them. Let them go if you get to close to the flowers. Repeat all of this, avoid the honey, prevent the enemies from overwhelming you in numbers. And you'll eventually win soon enough
Question, since there's no official server for your game or your developer team as far as I'm aware. Do you mind if I invite the people playing Ghosts & Japes into a server I'm making for the game and the community around it?
The server is still under construction but I still want to build a community who enjoys the game and bring people together around it
As far as I'm aware, if you run out of batteries, that means enemies spawn to no end until you move up to the next floor. Sort of like how the Spirit Toot item gets rid of the "Lights Out" but causes enemies to spawn endlessly, even in the lobby. The Power Gauge upgrade helps keep track how much battery (Or time) or have left on a floor until the lights cut off and all the ghosts come in to swallow you whole
Ah okay, got it. I'm doing good so far at completing all of the achievements. Here's the list of the ones I still need to complete (Outside of the secrets.)
1 Defeat - 2
You're the Monster - Defeated a friendly enemy. (I have no idea how to do it )
Spectral Buffet - Devour 100 enemies.
2 Item - 1
Master of All - Had every curse and upgrade active at the same time!
3 Milestone - 3
Getting the hang of it - Made it to floor 30
Ascend into madness - Made it to floor 50
No exit in sight - Made it to floor 100
4 Completionist - 7
Heart of Violet - Reach the max health of 300.
Gallery Enthusiast - See every painting.
Wand of Amethyst - Max out the Wand's power.
Ghost Lover - Befriend every enemy that can be befriended.
Ghost Charcuterie - Eat every enemy that can be eaten.
Ultimate Knowledge - Filled out the entirety of the Ghostiary.
Thousandarie - Had $10.000 Gold at once in one run
5 Skill - 1
Bonk - Get hit by a chair 100 times.
I want to start a new run so that I can unlock achievements that I can't get on normal difficulty. But I don't want to get rid of my current save to do it. What do I do?
One of the two hidden achievements requires you to "visit a place you shouldn't have" on the hardest difficulty possible (Idk if that also includes hardcore)
As for the other hidden achievement, its just "Had an unpleasant encounter"... Idk what it means
