Gorgeous, creative, polished little title. Big Unpacking vibes, especially with the last photo

Thanks for the in-depth feedback! I think me only playtesting on a laptop trackpad led me to overestimate the difficulty of the game. Lots of folks have gotten way farther than I was ever able to (round 7). I really wanted to avoid making the game challenging for me (since I'd been playing it for 3 days straight) and accidentally making it way too hard for someone playing it for the first time. Always happy to be wrong though
I thought for sure that length would be the better upgrade, up until you could no longer swing a full circle in the arena. But the consensus has certainly been that width is OP
Wow, thank you so much for the thorough review! You really captured what we were going for: multiple layers of subversion.
We tried to communicate the ladder bit with the little, "where am I? I need to get home" message at the start of the first cat stage, but with some more playtesting we definitely could've communicated a few things a bit better. The cat collection misdirection was totally on purpose though, we still wanted it to be a horror game (of sorts).
Thanks for playing, we're glad you enjoyed it!
Love the concept and art! To expand on this idea, a deckbuilding component (or any kind of control over what cards you could draw) would be a lot of fun. I really appreciated how Sole Eater didn't do damage, but was multiple colours. I assume this means it would combo with more socks, but I always had better combos with damaging socks
Took me a couple tries to understand how it worked, and a few more to actually clear a room, but damn this is a fantastic little puzzle game. Super satisfying with the juicy camera, particle effects, and sound. I think if you hand-crafted a few tutorial levels to let players ease into it, it would fix the onboarding hiccups.
