What works for me is:
1. Unzip the new version to a new folder.
2. Copy the saves folder from yourPathToOldEternum\game to yourPathToNewEternum\game.
That's it.

I recently found "Out of Touch" here on Itch.io.
Is has a manga graphics style and a complex story about gods which are a threat to humankind. I would say it's a coming of age story that covers serious topics like mental illnesses and a lot of self-doubt. Every character has their own struggle to deal with and their friendship helps them to overcome their struggles.
It's a strange combination of a cute graphics style on the one hand and a complex story with serious topics on the other hand, but somehow this combination allured me.
I think, you could get a lot from it, also without the sex scenes, but on the other hand there is a story-relevant explanation why the characters "bond" with each other. So, if you totally skip those scenes, you might lose a bit of story-relevant information (at least of what I have seen so far). That's not true for all sex scenes, though.
Another point I want to mention is that it is very linear. There are almost no decisions for you to make besides to whom a character talks to or where they are going to in some scenes. I usually end up choosing all options, because I don't want to miss a bit of story.
Like Enternum, it's not finished yet (I usually prefer playing finished games), but has a lot of content available already.
Thanks for your answer.
I dowloaded Eternum for the sex scenes and stayed because of the story and the humour. For me it feels natural, that there are more intimate scenes as the relationships grow. But still the story is top-notch and would lose little to nothing without the sex scenes. There is quite some spice in the 0.8 update, but also good story progress and it also hit my sense of humour perfectly. Don't know if the story progress is sufficient for your taste, obviously.
