Super well polished! Nice game👍

Thanks man! Glad you like the vids ❤️ :D

Yo, that's amazing! Thanks for playing! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you!❤️

The Google Play store link should be on the itch.io page, but you can just follow this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.JujuProdGames.Backrooms2D

Cool! Thanks for playing! :D

Good suggestion! Glad you like the vids :)

Glad you like the update!

I experienced the slow generation in the Poolrooms as well, and unfortunately, I just could not fix it. I probably will have to redo my level generation code to ensure that the levels load fast enough. Oh well :)

Nice! For the next update, I've added a level switcher so that if a level is too difficult, you can just go to the next one (so you won't miss the next levels). :)

Ooh, hmm. I'll be honest, I wouldn't really know how to fix that. Maybe in the future, but no promises! :)

Glad you like it! Look forward to an update soon :)

I made a WebGL build for the game. Would you mind confirming if it works for you?

Hey, thanks for all the feedback! I definitely agree that the game is short and feels unpolished, as I made it only 5 days without much time for polishing or playtesting. I will update the game with more features, and hopefully, that will respond to some of your critiques. Thanks for the review! :D

Thanks for the feedback! I'll add more levels in the future. I'm also not to experienced regarding the enemy AI (the bacteria you pointed out), but I'll do my best to improve on it :)

The game is free! You just need to hit "download now" and "no thanks, just take me to the downloads" in the next screen :)

Yep. This was a problem I encountered during playtesting and I didn't really know how to fix it, especially with the limited time I had to make the game. Will keep in mind for the update though! :)

Planning on doing so! (After my vacation) :)

Yep! I believe the Partygoers song is "Daisy Daisy" (as some people have pointed out int the YouTube comment section) :)

Ooh, good idea!

Thank you! :D

Agreed👌

Thanks!

Nope, probably a glitch with the generation system being too slow xD

Good ideas! Glad you liked it! :D

Thanks! :)

Thanks! Yeah, the map generates slowly sometimes, but it's cool to see that you got scared! :)

Ooh, thanks for playing!  It's cool to see that you got a little spooked out! :)

Yo, thanks for playing! :D Sorry that the map generation didn't load for you.

Thanks for playing! Loved the video by the way! :D

Thanks for the feedback! I probably won't update the game after the jam since I already have a different project in mind, but thanks for playing and the suggestion!

Thanks! :)

Thanks! :)

(1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback! I think those ideas would've been great additions to the game. This was more of a learning experience for me, and this game took more time to make than I initially thought.

For feedback on your channel, the content itself is pretty refreshing, but the homepage and thumbnails of your channel don't look appealing. They don't make me want to click on your videos. If you could hook the viewers in with a great first impression, your channel will do well.

Thanks for playing!😊

ps: we'll call the sharks swimming sideways a feature. shhhhhh

The game is pretty cool, and the mechanics are simple and nice.

Pros:

  • Level Design is well done
  • Theme stays consistent

You can improve:

  • No sounds
  • Too short
  • Too simple
  • Needs more variation
  • No "Game Feel"

Overall, nice start!

Thanks! :)

Wow, that's a good score. GG!

Thanks!

Thanks! I would agree that more obstacles would make more chaos, but nonetheless, I'm happy with the progress we made. :)

So cute! Loved the theme, very unique, and very awesome!

Some things I suggest: Try enlarging the hitbox of the snake. Sometimes, I felt like I hit the snake, but my hit wouldn't register. The movement and camera controls can sometimes feel a little awkward as well. I also didn't even know about the health packs until later; you can make them clearer with something like an outline.

Nonetheless, this is an awesome and unique game! :)
