Aight played it. Very creative and trippy! The game feels like drugs (that's a good thing). Super unique take on the whole "frog" theme. I made it to the cactus house so I guess I beat it? Overall feels a bit more like a tech demo or an art piece than a true "game"

Thanks for the feedback! Would have loved to put in bronze/silver/gold medals for completing the levels in X amount of turns; It was one of our stretch goals but we never got around to it in time.

  • The assets are absolutely amazing. Love the dome and the UFO
  • I love the radio and how it works, and the plantopedia.
  • Frogs changing the music is the funniest moment out of any game from this jam
  • Gameplay loop is classic and fun
  • I did run into multiple bugs: I've never been able to throw a frog in my life and one time there was some seeds stuck floating in mid-air.
  • Some pots didn't seem to ever get watered or ever grow, even after being sprayed and being near the radio.
  • Some more visual indicators could be good, for example: the selling area could be more obvious, the spray can could have some UI indicating the amount of water it's holding, the bilboard screen could maybe be UI overlay across the top of the screen instead (like in Overcooked)

    Well done!

Can't seem to get this to run on PC

Controls better on controller than mouse and keyboard! Some notes:

  • 3D environment was impressively huge and decorated
  • Main character looked and animated awesomely
  • I would often kill flowers accidentally without talking to them 😩
  • Having to wait for energy to refill was tedious. Would anything break if you just instantly refilled it when you set foot on the ground? also if swinging the sword didn't cost energy? If there was any combat/enemies I didn't get far enough to experience it. Swinging could also be on a different button than the dash so that there's no lil delay when using the dash ability which you have to constantly use
  •  I had no bugs at all except for a small collision detection one when landing on the edge of a tiny platform. Good job!
  • Music was cool

    Awesome job! 🙌

Simple but intense game. I think I would have preferred being able to aim and shoot with the mouse

<3

Good simple game and fits the theme perfectly. I would have liked for the movement to be a little faster

Awesome and unique game!

(1 edit)

what a great game, I couldn't leapf it alone! got up to 60

Yeah, we're aware of that game-breaking bug. A shame we couldn't fix it in time to submit. T_T Thanks for the feedback!

I consider it a win that a player was able to figure out the objective at all xD Thanks for the feedback
