Great work! A cool twist on bullet hell!

The art and the animation on the monsters that you spawn in is great. It really shows off the work that you put in. Very readable. It’s also nice that the hero’s move is easy to predict at a glance.

I know you’ve mentioned a lot of features you’d like to add. I would add some rebalancing of the points costs for the summonable monsters, since it’s straightforward to auto-win by just spamming either of the two rightmost one.

Overall, a fun jam game! Thanks

Stumbled across this game on itch.io and really love it. It’s right up my alley; I’ve played it through twice already! Thanks so much

Thanks so much for your kind words! Playing The Saint’s Tomb with my partner back in 2021 was what inspired me to learn to use Twine in the first place, which makes it all the more special you’d give my game a go :D Looking forward to trying out Beyond The Vale of Darkness some time soon. All the best

What a great way to look at it! <3 :D

Really enjoyed it. The die being programmeable was cool. So too was the way that physics was used to distinguish it from being a grid-based system in disguise. By this, I principally had in mind that six jumps of “size 1” were very different from one jump of “size 6”. I ended up solving the three-tiered puzzle (pictured in ollie_d’s reply) in a wonky way, same too with the T-shaped puzzle. I couldn’t beat level 13. All the same, lots of fun. I would have been proud to have made this.

My one suggestion UI-wise for if you develop this further, is that when you reset the level, have the highlighted face of the Die-agram stay the same as you had before, rather than jumping back to being the one at the “centre” of the net.

That’s a really fair comment and, tbh, I agree with you. This was an experiment to see whether I could make anything compelling out of rolling and assigning dice: the answer, I think, is no. But that’s okay! And it was worth a punt. Thank you so much for taking the time to try out my game (despite it being woefully unfinished and essentially unplayable)! Have a lovely day :D
