Added a bypass to one of the many different routes of ASE, which now makes this track on its 8th iteration! The route improve your turning experience, but may harm your speed-runs. ;)

Happy racing!

After what felt like hours of toiling, I added some more routes and slightly reworked the original ones to ASE. With that, ASE (v7) is now up!

Very minor patch to ASE:

Happy racing!

I hope I patched all four shortcuts in the previous tracks, as was exposed by the racer above.

Updated to ASE v5: https://github.com/K-4410/Polytrack-Tracks/blob/main/Amethyst%20Skyscraper%20-%20Easy%20(v5).

Happy racing! :)

I'll get to work on them as soon as I can. :)

Fixed yet again another shortcut that enabled the racer to escape the track and gain some speed to ride on the wall of the building on the "Need for Speed" route. Reworked the track a tiny bit.

I should really stop beating a dead horse... but I just want to make sure ASE is beatable without unintended shortcuts appearing along the way. I should also stop making promises to myself that I can fix all of these problems in one go. xD

Unrelated, but I decided to begin creating a new path for the track, but that's a massive work in progress, so I left it as an inaccessible (hopefully!) stub for now.

Again a massive thank you goes to the sole racer who has tested each ASE (within 24 hours of creation) and exposed each shortcut.

And with that, here's ASE v4: https://github.com/K-4410/Polytrack-Tracks/blob/main/Amethyst%20Skyscraper%20-%20Easy%20(v4)

Happy racing! :)

Welp. Here we go again.

I guess I don't know how to patch properly. I thought I got rid of any obvious shortcut in ASE v2, but the same guy who got a 1:12 record in ASE v1 managed to just get off the high-surface on the path to the "Need for Speed" route and speed their way towards the ground-level shortcut to get approximately a 1:22 record.

I patched this shortcut (got rid of the lowest-height finish-line), so hopefully there should be nothing fishy this time. Massive thanks to that guy for helping my dumb self find the obvious shortcut.

With that, here's the code to ASE v3: https://github.com/K-4410/Polytrack-Tracks/blob/main/Amethyst%20Skyscraper%20-%20Easy%20(v3)

Happy racing, everyone!

Update on my "Amethyst Skyscraper - Easy" track:

So I noticed that there was a wall-riding shortcut that one can take on the "Need for Speed" Route that allowed racers to get sub-1:25 times (two racers have achieved 1:22 and 1:14 iirc). While this shortcut was observed to require some skill in successfully landing on the track originally meant just for the "Weaving Webs" route, I thought it was ultimately doable with a few tries, which is why I decided to patch that shortcut out (ensuring a more consistent speed-running experience for everybody), creating the ASE v2 track.

Check out the code for ASE v2 here: https://github.com/K-4410/Polytrack-Tracks/blob/main/Amethyst%20Skyscraper%20-%20Easy%20(v2)

I will be continuing to update the track as other racers uncover more of these shortcuts. For now, happy racing!

Recently, I was playing the tracks of TiniTheBagel (they got some intricate tracks and I dig that) recently, but for some reason couldn't beat their "Amethyst Skyscraper" map, either because I'm a total noob and I'm either crazy sharing this opinion or there are people who can relate.

To this, I have remade a new version of their A.S. track to be easier, so that there are no crazy jumps and sharp turns are minimized wherever possible. In some crazy turn of events, I also chose to make this a choose-your-own adventure track, and there are three "easy" routes you can take to get to the finish in total, for which I have called them "Weaving Webs", "The Need for Speed", and the "The Slow Sloth". The first two I have tested to be both approximately two minutes (don't come at me, I'm not a speedrunner xD), and the third at about four minutes due to the curvy nature of that route limiting me to about 70-80 km/h. Only take the third route if you're curious. Please let me know what edits I should make to the length of the routes themselves if I end up being an unreliable tester. Feel free to reply with what you enjoyed and what you didn't, as this is my first track!

Additionally, there are two additional routes from the original map that I think involved wall-riding, and I haven't touched the general shape of the building so that people may want to give themselves a challenge.

Anyway, I guess you all have to test which route is which and see what you get! Happy racing. I'm sure you can all easily beat my 2:01 record.

I would have just dumped the code in raw text, but I now observed that the code makes this message exceed the 20480 character limit, so I have attached the code in a newly-created file on my newly created GitHub profile. Check it out here: https://github.com/K-4410/Polytrack-Tracks/tree/main.

Finally, I just want to say a massive thank you to Tini for making the original track, for whom my frankly lazy derivative track couldn't have been possible. Have at it. This track is for you all. :)
